Trouble Code: P0561

System Voltage Unstable

Trouble Code Conditions: Engine runtime over 4 minutes, and the PCM detected the system voltage rapidly changed its value by more than 3 volts. Note: If the Battery Backup circuit is open, the vehicle will not run.

Possible Causes:



Charging system problem (charging voltage interrupted)
 
Backup voltage circuit to the PCM open (intermittent fault)
 
PCM has failed
 

Trouble Code: P0562

System Voltage Low Input

Trouble Code Conditions: Engine runtime over 4 minutes, and the PCM detected the system voltage was less than 8.0 volts, condition met for 5 seconds. Note: If the Battery Backup circuit is open, the vehicle will not run.

Possible Causes:



Charging system problem (charging voltage too low)
 
Battery backup circuit to the PCM has high resistance
 
Backup voltage circuit to the PCM open (intermittent fault)
 
PCM has failed
 

Trouble Code: P0563

System Voltage High Input

Trouble Code Conditions: Engine runtime over 4 minutes, and the PCM detected the system voltage was more than 17.0 volts, condition met for 5 seconds. Note: If the Battery Backup circuit is open, the vehicle will not run.

Possible Causes:



Charging system problem (charging voltage too high)
 
Backup voltage circuit to the PCM open (intermittent fault)
 
PCM has failed
 

Trouble Code: P0601

PCM or TCM Internal Random Check Sum Error

Trouble Code Conditions: Key on or engine running and the PCM or the TCM detected that a Random Check Sum Error was present.

Possible Causes:



Poor terminal contact at the ECM ISC Backup Voltage circuit
 
PCM or TCM has an internal problem or has failed
 

Trouble Code: P0650

Malfunction Indicator Lamp Circuit Malfunction

Trouble Code Conditions: Key on or engine running and the PCM detected an unexpected voltage condition on the Malfunction Indicator Lamp (MIL) circuit.

Possible Causes:



MIL control circuit open
 
MIL control circuit shorted to ground
 
MIL "bulb" is damaged or missing
 
PCM has failed (MIL control "driver" may be open or shorted)

Transmission Range Switch Circuit Malfunction

Trouble Code Conditions: Engine running with VSS inputs received, and the PCM detected invalid signals or multiple TR switch inputs with the gearshift in drive. Note: If DTC P1500 is also set, check the Meter Fuse and circuit.

TR switch signal circuit is open or shorted to ground
 
TR switch signal circuit is shorted to VREF or system power

Trouble Code Conditions: Key on or engine running and the PCM detected the TFT sensor signal indicated less than 0.49 volt 300°F) for more than 1 second. Note: The TFT sensor signal at 68°F is 4.0 volts, and at 266°F it is 1.5 volts.

Possible Causes:



TFT sensor signal circuit shorted to ground (sensor to TCM)
 
TFT sensor signal circuit shorted to ground (TCM to PCM)
 
TFT sensor is damaged or has failed

Trouble Code: P0713

Transmission Fluid Temperature High Input

Trouble Code Conditions: Key on or engine running and the PCM detected the TFT sensor signal indicated more than 4.57 volts (-40°F) during the CCM test period. Note: The TFT sensor signal at 68°F is 4.0 volts, and at 266°F it is 1.5 volts.

Possible Causes:



TFT sensor signal circuit is open (sensor circuit to the TCM)
 
TFT sensor signal circuit is open (TCM circuit to the PCM)
 
TFT sensor is damaged or has failed
 
PCM is damaged
 

Trouble Code: P0716

Input/Turbine Speed Sensor Performance

Trouble Code Conditions: Vehicle drive to a speed of over 25 mph, gear ratio indicating the vehicle is in Drive, 2nd or 1st gear, and the PCM did not detect any Input/Turbine Speed sensor signals, or that the Input/Turbine sensor signals indicated less than 98 rpm during the CCM test.

Possible Causes:



Input/Turbine speed sensor signal circuit open or shorted
 
Input/Turbine speed sensor is damaged or has failed
 
PCM has failed

Input/Turbine Speed Sensor No Signal

Trouble Code Conditions: Vehicle drive to a speed of over 25 mph, gear ratio indicating the vehicle is in Drive, 2nd or 1st gear, and the PCM detected that the Input/Turbine Speed sensor signal indicated less than 98 rpm.

Possible Causes:



Input/Turbine speed sensor signal circuit open or shorted
 
Input/Turbine speed sensor is damaged or has failed
 
PCM has failed

Engine Speed Signal Performance

Trouble Code Conditions: Engine running, throttle position angle from 5-94%, and the TCM detected the Engine Speed signal indicated more than 7500 rpm.
