Removal & Installation
- Remove the timing belt.
- Using a spanner wrench to hold the camshaft pulley, remove the setbolt.
- Install a 2-armed puller and remove the camshaft pulley. Be careful, the pulley may spring off so don't drop it.
- Align the camshaft knockpin with the groove in the camshaft timing pulley and slide the pulley onto the shaft (flange side outward). Install the setbolt and plate washer and tighten it to 80 ft. lbs. (108 Nm) on the ES300, LS400 and SC400 or 59 ft. lbs. (79 Nm) on the SC300.
- Install the timing belt and covers.
