Removal & Installation

  1. Discharge refrigerant from refrigeration system
  2.  
  3. Disconnect liquid and suction tubes from a/c unit
    1. Remove the 2 bolts and disconnect the both tubes.
      NOTE
      Cap the open fittings immediately to keep moisture or dirt out of the system.

  5. Remove blower unit
  6.  
  7. Remove liquid and suction tubes from evaporator
    1. Pry out the packing.
    2.  
    3. Using a hexagon wrench, remove the 3 bolts and separate the evaporator and tubes.
      NOTE
      Cap the open fittings immediately to keep moisture or dirt out of the system.

  9. Remove evaporator
    1. Remove the 7 screws and evaporator cover.
    2.  
    3. Pull out the evaporator
    4.

To install:


NOTE
At the time of installation, if evaporator is replaced, add compressor oil to the evaporator. Add 1.4 fl.oz. Compressor oil: ND-OIL 8 or equivalent

  1. Remove evaporator
    1. Pull out the evaporator
    2.  
    3. Remove the 7 screws and evaporator cover.
    4.

  3. Remove liquid and suction tubes from evaporator
    NOTE
    Cap the open fittings immediately to keep moisture or dirt out of the system.


    NOTE
    At the time of installation, lubricate 2 new O-rings with compressor oil and install the tubes.

    1. Using a hexagon wrench, remove the 3 bolts and separate the evaporator and tubes. Torque: 5.4 N-m (55 kgf-cm, 48 in.-lbf)

    3. Pry out the packing.

  5. Remove blower unit
  6.  
  7. Disconnect liquid and suction tubes from a/c unit
    1. Remove the 2 bolts and disconnect the both tubes. Torque: 10 N-m (100 kgf-cm, 7 ft-lbf)
      NOTE
      Cap the open fittings immediately to keep moisture or dirt out of the system.


      NOTE
      At the time of installation, lubricate 2 new O-rings with compressor oil and install the tubes.

  9. Discharge refrigerant from refrigeration system
    NOTE
    At the time of installation, evacuate air from refrigeration system. Charge system with refrigerant and inspect for leakage of refrigerant. Specified amount : 24.69 ± 1.76 oz.
