Removal & Installation

CAUTION
Be sure to support the axle when the shock is removed. Otherwise, the pressurized air spring could fail and cause component damage and possible personal injury. It is possible to remove the shock absorber without depressurizing air springs, BUT the distance between the axle and chassis must be held as if the shock absorber was still fitted. This is achieved by supporting the vehicle with supports and a jack under the axle.

  1. Before servicing the vehicle, refer to the Precautions section.
  2.
  3. Raise and safely support the vehicle.
  4.
  5. Support the axle on a jack.
  6.
  7. Remove the rear wheels.
  8.

WARNING
Do not lower axle when shock absorber is removed. This may result in air spring damage.
