NOTE
This procedure requires the use of a factory or equivalent scantool. Refer to scantool documentation.

  1. Before servicing the vehicle, refer to the Precautions section.
  2.  
  3. Connect the scantool and set for service function -Bleeding ABS/DSC Hydraulics-.
  4.  
  5. Connect pressurized brake bleeder to the reservoir.
    CAUTION
    Charging pressure should not exceed 2 bar (29 psi.)

Bleeding The Front Brake Circuit



  1. Connect bleeder hose and collecting container to the right front brake.
  2.  
  3. Open the bleeder valve.
  4.  
  5. Run the scantool bleeding routine.
  6.  
  7. Press the brake pedal 5 times. Clear and bubble-free fluid must flow out.
  8.  
  9. Close the bleed valve.
  10.  
  11. Repeat for left front brake.
  12.  
  13. Remove the pressurized brake bleeder.
  14.  
  15. Test for proper brake operation.

Bleeding The Rear Brake Circuit



  1. Connect bleeder hose and collecting container to the right rear brake.
  2.  
  3. Open the bleeder valve.
  4.  
  5. Run the scantool bleeding routine.
  6.  
  7. Press the brake pedal 5 times. Clear and bubble-free fluid must flow out.
  8.  
  9. Close the bleed valve.
  10.  
  11. Repeat for left rear brake.
  12.  

Flushing The Brake System



  1. Connect bleeder hose and collecting container to the right rear brake.
  2.  
  3. Open the bleeder valve and flush until clear brake fluid emerges with no air bubbles.
  4.  
  5. Close the bleed valve.
  6.  
  7. Repeat for the left rear, right front, and left front brakes.
  8.
