Cylinder 6 Misfire Detected

Possible Causes:



Air leak in the intake manifold, or in the EGR or PCV system
 
Base engine mechanical fault that affects only Cylinder 6
 
Fuel component fault that affects only Cylinder 6 (i.e., a dirty or sticking fuel injector)
 
Ignition system problem (coil, plug) that affects only Cylinder 6
 

Trouble Code: P0325



Knock Sensor Circuit Malfunction

Possible Causes:



Knock sensor signal circuit is open, shorted to ground or power
 
Knock sensor ground circuit is open (i.e., not mounted properly)
 
Knock sensor is damaged or has failed
 
On modules with an integrated sensor, clear the codes and retest for codes. If the same code resets, the PCM has failed.

Knock sensor signal circuit is open, shorted to ground or power
 
Knock sensor ground circuit is open (check for proper torque)

Possible Causes:



CKP sensor signal circuit is open or shorted to ground
 
CKP sensor ground (Low Reference) circuit is open

CMP Sensor Signal Range/Performance

Possible Causes:



CMP sensor signal circuit is open, shorted to ground or shorted to VREF between the sensor and the PCM (intermittent fault)
 
CMP sensor signal wire is routed to close to the Generator, spark plug wires or any other possible cause of EMI/RFI
 
CMP sensor is cracked, damaged or has failed
 
PCM has failed

Insufficient EGR Flow Detected

Possible Causes:



Base engine problem (e.g., a severely restricted exhaust), or any other problem that causes the engine to run poorly

EGR pipe is clogged, dirty or otherwise restricted
 
EGR vacuum hoses damaged, loose or routed incorrectly
 
EGR solenoid valve is clogged (carbon), damaged or has failed
 
MAP sensor is dirty, damaged or it is "skewed"

Catalyst System Low Efficiency (Bank 1)

Possible Causes:



Air leaks at the exhaust manifold or in the exhaust pipes
 
Base engine problems (i.e., high engine oil or coolant usage)
 
Catalytic converter is damaged, contaminated or has failed
 
Continuous engine misfire conditions, or weak or low coil output
 
Front HO2S or rear HO2S is contaminated with fuel or moisture
 
Rear HO2S is loose in the mounting hole (check it for a leak)
 
Front HO2S older (aged) than the rear HO2S (HO2S-12 is lazy)

Idle Speed Too Low

Possible Causes:



Air inlet duct is collapsed, loose or air filter element is clogged
 
Base engine problem (i.e., compression or misfire condition)
 
Idle air inlet passage or throttle bore is dirty or full of deposits
 
IAC solenoid control circuit has a high resistance condition
 
IAC valve is damaged or has failed
 
MAF sensor is dirty, out-of-calibration or it is "skewed"
 
Throttle plate, throttle shaft or linkage is damaged or sticking

TCC control valve is stuck "off" due to sediment or binding

CKP Sensor System Variation Not Learned

Possible Causes:



Set the parking brake and block the drive wheels for safety.
 
Verify the hood is closed.
 
Read the trouble codes. If a code is set, refer to that code.
 
Start the engine. Allow engine temperature to reach at least 158ºF (70ºC). Then key off.
 
Select Crankshaft Position Variation Learn procedure on Scan Tool & start the vehicle.
 
Apply the brake pedal firmly and verify the selector is in Park.
 
Increase accelerator pedal position until fuel cutoff is reached at the test rpm (e.g., 5150). Quickly release the accelerator pedal after fuel cutoff is reached. The CKP system variation compensating values are learned when the engine speed (rpm) decreases back to idle speed and the procedure terminates.
 
Read the trouble codes and recheck for DTC P1336.
 
If DTC P1336 runs and passes, the CKP system variation "learn" procedure is complete. If not, look for other codes. If no codes are set, repeat the test procedure.

Possible Causes:



IC 3X signal wire is routed to close to the Generator, spark plug wires or any other possible cause of EMI/RFI interference
 
IC 3X signal circuit is open, shorted to ground or shorted to B+
