Hydraulic System Bleeding

Bleeding is required to remove air trapped in the hydraulic system. The bleed screw is located on the clutch slave (operating) cylinder.

Some models are also equipped with a clutch damper mechanism. The clutch damper mechanism is bled in exactly the same manner as the operating cylinder. It should be bled along with the operating cylinder.

  1. Before servicing the vehicle, refer to the Precautions Section.
  2.
  3. Remove the bleed screw dust cap.
  4.
  5. Attach a transparent vinyl tube to the bleed screw, immersing the free end in a clean container of clean brake fluid.
