Circuit Breakers

Print

See Figures 1, 2 and 3

Circuit breakers operate in much the same way as a fuse or fusible link, except that they have the ability to be reset after a malfunction has occurred. On the 323, MX-6 and later 626 models, a circuit breaker is used in the joint box to protect the heater blower circuit. On 1986-89 RX-7s, a circuit breaker located in the fuse box protects the heater, air conditioner and rear window defroster circuits. All circuit breakers are reset in the manner described below.

RESETTING

After the circuit is checked and repaired, reset the breaker by depressing the button on the breaker with a small pointed instrument. The tip of a pen will do the job nicely.
