REMOVAL & INSTALLATION



Front Turn Signal and Parking Lights

See Figures 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6

  1. If equipped with two-piece headlight/signal lens, remove the attaching screw(s) and partially remove the front parking light lens.
  2.

  1. If equipped with a one-piece headlight/signal lens, remove the headlight lens assembly to access the bulb socket.
  2.

  1. Remove the bulb socket and rubber gasket from the lens assembly by turning it in a counterclockwise direction.
  2.  
  3. Remove the bulb from the socket by carefully pushing it in to clear the socket slots and twisting it counterclockwise.
  4.  
  5. Installation is the reverse of the removal procedure.
  6.  

Side Marker Lights

See Figures 7, 8, 9 and 10

  1. If visible, remove the attaching screws and partially remove the front side marker light lens.
  2.

  1. If no screw head is visible, carefully pry the lens assembly from the vehicle body.
  2.  
  3. Remove the bulb socket and rubber gasket from the lens by turning it in a clockwise direction.

Rear Turn Signal, Brake and Parking Lights

See Figures 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16 and 17

  1. If necessary, remove the plastic fasteners securing the trunk end trim panel and remove the panel. Remove the right side upper trunk side garnish to gain access to the far right side bulb.

  1. If access to the bulb sockets cannot be gained through the trunk, remove the rear lens assembly. Usually retained by one or more screws and clips.

  1. Carefully remove the desired socket wiring from its respective retaining clip and turn it counterclockwise to remove the socket.
  2.  
  3. Carefully push the bulb in far enough to clear the socket slots, turn it counterclockwise and remove.
  4.  
  5. Installation is the reverse of the removal procedure.
  6.  

High Mount (Third) Brake Light
EXTERNALLY MOUNTED
  1. If mounted on the rear liftgate, remove the retaining screw covers.
  2.  
  3. Remove the high mount brake light lens attaching screws.
  4.  
  5. Pull the lens assembly outward to gain access to the wire/socket assembly.
  6.  
  7. Turn the socket counterclockwise and remove the bulb/socket assembly.
  8.  
  9. Remove the bulb from the socket by pulling it straight out.
  10.  
  11. Installation is the reverse of the removal procedure.
  12.  

INTERNALLY (REAR PACKAGE TRAY) MOUNTED

See Figures 18, 19, 20 and 21

  1. If equipped, remove the high mount brake light cover retaining fasteners.
  2.

  1. Remove the cover by disengaging the locktabs and sliding it backwards.

  3. Turn the socket counterclockwise and remove the bulb/socket assembly.

Dome and Interior Lights

  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
  2.

  1. Grasp the dome or interior light lens and pull down until the lens is removed.
  2.  
  3. Carefully pull the bulb from its holder. If the bulb is difficult to remove, carefully pry it out with a small piece of wood or equivalent.
  4.

  1. Check the bulb holder for bent tangs and adjust them, if necessary.

  1. Push the bulb into its holder until it is firmly secured.

  3. Position the dome or interior light lens into the holder, then push up on the lens until it snaps into position.
  4.  
  5. Connect the negative battery cable.
  6.  

License Plate Lights

See Figures 29, 30 and 31

  1. Loosen, but do not completely remove the attaching screws on the light lens. Remove the license plate lens assembly.
