Possible Causes:



EGRP sensor signal circuit is open
 
EGRP sensor ground circuit is open

DPFE Sensor Upstream Hose Off or Plugged

Possible Causes:



DPF EGR sensor upstream hose is disconnected
 
DPF EGR sensor upstream hose is plugged (ice)
 
EGR orifice tube is plugged or damaged

DPF EGR sensor downstream hose is disconnected

EGR valve stuck closed or iced up, or the flow path is restricted

EGRA solenoid is damaged or has failed
 
EGRV solenoid is damaged or has failed
 
PCM has failed

Possible Causes:



EGR VR solenoid control circuit is open
 
EGR VR solenoid control circuit is shorted to ground
 
EGR VR solenoid control circuit is shorted to system power
 
EGR VR solenoid is damaged or has failed
 
PCM has failed

EVAP System Purge Flow Malfunction

Possible Causes:



Fuel vapor hose blocked between EVAP purge valve and PF sensor, or blocked between purge valve and intake manifold, or vacuum hose blocked between purge valve and intake manifold
 
EVAP canister purge solenoid stuck closed (mechanically)
 

Trouble Code: P1450



EVAP Control System Excessive Vacuum Detected

Possible Causes:



Air filter element is extremely dirty or clogged
 
Canister drain cut valve (CDCV) is damaged or has failed
 
Charcoal canister is full of fuel or moisture, or is damaged
 
EVAP system drain passage is clogged
 
Fuel tank pressure sensor is damaged or out-of-calibration
 
Purge solenoid valve is damaged or has failed

Canister Vent Solenoid Circuit Malfunction

Possible Causes:



CV solenoid control circuit is open or shorted to ground
 
CV solenoid control circuit is shorted to system power (B+)
 
CV solenoid is damaged or has failed

Possible Causes:



A/C relay is damaged or has failed
 
A/C relay power circuit is open between relay and ENGINE fuse

A/C relay control circuit is shorted to ground
 
A/C relay control circuit is shorted to system power (B+)
 
PCM has failed

A/C Control Signal Circuit Malfunction (Self-Test)

Possible Causes:



A/C relay control circuit is shorted to system power (B+)
 
A/C relay is damaged or has failed
 
A/C WOT relay is damaged or has failed
 
A/C clutch is damaged or has failed
 
PCM has failed

Vehicle Speed Sensor Intermittent Signal

Possible Causes:



VSS signal circuit is open (an intermittent fault)
 
VSS signal circuit is shorted to ground (an intermittent fault)
 
VSS signal circuit is shorted to VREF (an intermittent fault)
 
VSS is damaged or has failed
 
PCM has failed
 

Trouble Code: P1501



Vehicle Speed Sensor Circuit Malfunction (Self-Test)

Possible Causes:



Charging system problem (check alternator for AC leakage)
 
Ignition system component has failed (i.e., check for signs of primary or secondary voltage leaking from the coil, coil wire, spark plug wires or boots, or the spark plug insulators
 
PCM has failed

Idle Air Control Solenoid Circuit Malfunction

Possible Causes:



IAC solenoid control circuit shorted to ground
 
IAC solenoid is damaged or has failed
 
PCM has failed

Idle Air Control System at Adaptive Clip

Possible Causes:



IAC valve is stuck in one position (it may be dirty or has failed)
 
An intake vacuum leak may be present, or PCV valve is leaking
 
IAC solenoid or valve is damaged or has failed
 
Throttle body is dirty, damaged or contaminated
 
PCM has failed
 

Trouble Code: P1506



Idle Air Control System RPM Higher Than Expected

Possible Causes:



EGR valve is stuck open or leaking, or the gasket is leaking
 
EVAP purge valve is leaking or stuck in open position
 
IAC solenoid control circuit is shorted to ground (intermittent)
 
IAC valve is stuck open (it may be dirty or have failed)
 
PCV valve is leaking, or a leak in the intake manifold exists
 
PCM has failed

Idle Air Control System RPM Lower Than Expected

Possible Causes:



Air filter element is severely restricted, or air inlet is plugged
 
Base engine problems: cylinder compression or valve timing
 
IAC valve is stuck in one position (it may be dirty or has failed)
 
IAC solenoid or valve is damaged or has failed
 
Throttle body is dirty, damaged or contaminated
 
PCM has failed
 

Trouble Code: P1633



PCM Long Term Memory Interruption

Possible Causes:



KAM circuit is open between battery and the PCM connector
 
KAM circuit is shorted to ground (check for a blown fuse)
 
KAM circuit has high resistance at the battery connections
 
PCM has failed

Power Steering Pressure Switch Circuit Malfunction (Self-Test)

Possible Causes:



PSP signal circuit is open or shorted to ground
 
PSPS ground circuit is open (at the switch mounting point)
