EVAP Pressure Sensor Circuit Range/Performance

Possible Causes:



Air filter element or charcoal canister is very dirty or clogged
 
CDCV (valve) is damaged or has failed
 
Pressure control valve is damaged or has failed
 
Connection problems at the CDCV FTP sensor or at the PCM
 
CDCV (valve) or FTP sensor wiring harness is open or shorted
 
PCM has failed
 

Trouble Code: P0452



EVAP Pressure Sensor Circuit Low Input

Possible Causes:



FTP sensor is completely submerged in fuel inside the fuel tank
 
FTP sensor signal circuit is shorted to sensor ground
 
FTP sensor signal circuit is shorted to chassis ground
 
FTP sensor is damaged or has failed
 
PCM has failed
 

Trouble Code: P0453



EVAP Pressure Sensor Circuit High Input

Possible Causes:



FTP sensor signal circuit is shorted to VREF or power (B+)
 
FTP sensor ground circuit is open
 
FTP sensor is damaged or has failed
 
PCM has failed

EVAP System Large Leak (0.080-) Detected

Possible Causes:



Fuel filler cap loose, cross-threaded, incorrect part or damaged
 
Charcoal canister is loaded with fuel or moisture, or has failed
 
Canister drain cut valve (CDCV) is damaged or leaking
 
Fuel tank pressure (FTP) sensor is damaged or has failed
 
Purge solenoid valve is damaged or has failed
 
Tank pressure control valve (TPCV) is damaged or has failed
 
Catch tank or rollover valve is damaged, or fuel tank is leaking
 
Vapor line(s) damaged or leaking between the purge solenoid and intake manifold, purge solenoid and canister, or between the pressure control valve, check valve and rollover valve
 
PCM has failed

Fuel Tank Level Sensor Circuit Malfunction

Possible Causes:



Fuel gauge sending unit is damaged or has failed
 
Fuel gauge sending unit signal is open or shorted to ground
 
Fuel gauge sending unit power circuit is open
 
Fuel gauge sender signal is shorted to fuel pump terminal
 
PCM has failed

Fuel Level Sensor Circuit Low Input

Possible Causes:



Fuel gauge sending unit signal is shorted to sensor ground
 
Fuel gauge sending unit signal is shorted to chassis ground

Condenser fan relay control circuit open or shorted to ground

Possible Causes:



VSS signal circuit is open, shorted to ground or to power

Idle Control System RPM Lower Than Expected

Possible Causes:



Air intake system leaks (in the intake manifold or PCV valve)
 
IAC valve power circuit is open between main relay and valve
 
High resistance between PCM and IAC valve control circuits
 
IAC valve circuits open, shorted to ground or shorted to power
 
IAC valve air inlet is plugged, dirty or restricted
 
IAC valve is damaged or has failed
 
Throttle body is damaged or dirty (it may need to be cleaned)
 

Trouble Code: P0507



Idle Control System RPM Higher Than Expected

Possible Causes:



Air intake system leaks (in the intake manifold or PCV valve)
 
IAC valve power circuit is open between main relay and valve
 
High resistance between PCM and IAC valve control circuits
 
IAC valve circuits open, shorted to ground or shorted to power
 
IAC valve air inlet is plugged, dirty or restricted
 
IAC valve is damaged or has failed
 
Throttle body is damaged or dirty (it may need to be cleaned)

Power Steering Pressure Switch Circuit Malfunction

Possible Causes:



Power steering switch signal circuit shorted to sensor ground
 
Power steering switch signal circuit shorted to chassis ground
 
Power steering switch is damaged or has failed
 
Engine Speed System (power steering function) is damaged
 
PCM has failed

Variable Inertia Charging System Circuit Malfunction

Possible Causes:



VICS control circuit is open or shorted to ground
 
VICS power circuit is open (check the power from the relay)
 
VICS valve is damaged or has failed
 
PCM has failed

Brake switch signal circuit is open or shorted ground
 
Brake switch power circuit open between switch and battery (+)
