A/T Shift Solenoid -E- Performance (Mechanical)

Possible Causes:



ATF level is too low, or the ATF is badly deteriorated
 
A/T SSE is stuck -on-, or it is damaged (a mechanical fault)
 
A/T control valve is stuck, or it is damaged (a mechanical fault)
 
PCM has failed
 

Trouble Code: P0773



A/T Shift Solenoid -E- Circuit Malfunction

Possible Causes:



SSE control circuit is open (continuous high signal)
 
SSE control circuit is shorted to ground (continuous low signal)
 
SSE control circuit is shorted to system power (B+)
 
SSE is damaged or has failed
 
PCM has failed
 

Trouble Code: P1001



Data Link Connector Circuit Malfunction

Possible Causes:



DLC connector or the related terminals/pins are damaged
 
DLC Bus (+) circuit is open or shorted to ground
 
DLC Bus (+) circuit is shorted at an associated module
 
DLC ground circuit is open or has a high resistance condition
 
PCM power relay is damaged or has failed (no power to DLC)
 
Incorrect Self-Test procedure followed, or idle speed to low
 
PCM has failed (e.g., the PCM VREF may be out-of-range)

MAF Signal Inconsistent With TP Sensor (Too Low)

Possible Causes:



MAF sensor signal circuit is open or grounded (intermittent)
 
MAF sensor is damaged, dirty or has failed
 
MAF sensor (inlet) screen is dirty or blocked
 
TP sensor is damaged or erratic in operation
 
PCM has failed
 

Trouble Code: P1103



MAF Signal Inconsistent with Engine Speed (Too High)

Possible Causes:



MAF sensor signal circuit is open or grounded (intermittent)
 
MAF sensor is damaged, dirty or has failed
 
MAF sensor (inlet) screen is dirty or blocked
 
An intake air leak is present near the MAF sensor location
 
PCM has failed

Throttle Position Signal Low Input (Stuck Closed)

Possible Causes:



TP sensor is broken damaged or has failed
 
TP sensor signal circuit is corroded or shorted in the connector
 
High resistance in the VREF circuit or intermittent loss of VREF
 
PCM has failed

Throttle Position Signal High Input (Stuck Open)

Possible Causes:



TP sensor is broken damaged or has failed
 
MAF sensor has drifted out-of-calibration, or it is contaminated
 
TP sensor signal circuit is corroded or shorted in the connector
 
High resistance in the TP sensor ground circuit
 
PCM has failed

HO2S-11 (Bank 1 Sensor 1) Circuit No Inversion

Possible Causes:



An air leak that is located after the MAF sensor
 
Base engine mechanical fault affecting one or more cylinders
 
EVAP Purge valve stuck or the hoses to the valve are reversed
 
Fuel metering fault (fuel injector sticking open or leaking)
 
Fuel pressure too low or too high, fuel supply contaminated
 
HO2S element is contaminated or the HO2S heater has failed
 
PCV system has air leaks at the valve or related hoses

VTCS control circuit shorted to ground or to system power (B+)
 
VTCS shutter valve actuator is stuck closed
 
VTCS vacuum hose is loose or disconnected

+BB circuit is open
 
+BB circuit is shorted to ground (check for a blown fuse)
 
+BB circuit has high resistance (check the battery connections)
