Possible Causes:



CDCV control circuit is open or shorted to ground
 
CDCV control circuit is shorted to power
 
CDCV power circuit is open between the valve and main relay
 
CDCV is damaged or has failed
 
PCM has failed

EVAP Control System Excessive Vacuum

Possible Causes:



Air filter element is extremely dirty or clogged
 
Canister drain cut valve (CDCV) is damaged or has failed
 
Charcoal canister is full of fuel or moisture, or is damaged
 
EVAP system drain passage is clogged
 
Fuel tank pressure sensor is damaged or out-of-calibration
 
Purge solenoid valve is damaged or has failed

Fuel tank level sensor signal circuit open or shorted to ground

Possible Causes:



ABV vent solenoid control circuit open or shorted to ground
 
ABV vent solenoid control circuit is shorted to system power

Air Bypass Valve System

Possible Causes:



Engine control sensor is out-of-range (i.e., ECT, IAT or MAF)
 
ABV vacuum or vent solenoid is damaged or has failed
 
Air intake leak in the engine or related vacuum hose or pipes
 
Air intake restriction in a component related to the ABV system
 
PCM has failed
 

Trouble Code: P1566



TCM +BB Voltage Low

Possible Causes:



+BB circuit is open
 
+BB circuit is shorted to ground (check for a blown fuse)
 
+BB circuit has high resistance (check the battery connections)
 
TCM has failed
 

Trouble Code: P1601



PCM Communication Line to TCM Error

Possible Causes:



PCM link to the TCM is open
 
PCM link to the TCM is shorted to ground
 
PCM link to the TCM is shored to power
 
PCM or the TCM has failed
 

Trouble Code: P1608



PCM Output Device Circuit Malfunction

Possible Causes:



Output device (relay or solenoid) control circuit(s) shorted to ground between the device and the PCM
 
If none of the output device control circuits are shorted to ground (key on, voltage drop check), the PCM has failed

Knock Sensor Integrated Circuit Malfunction

Possible Causes:



Perform a PCM "Reset" function
 
Then turn the key to on, engine off. If this trouble code resets, the PCM circuitry for the Knock sensor is damaged, and the PCM must be replaced to correct the condition.

PCM (ECM/TCS) Line Communication Error

Possible Causes:



ABS/TCS circuit is open or shorted to ground
 
ABS/TCS circuit is shorted to power
 
PCM or TCM has failed

Possible Causes:



ABS/TCS circuit is open or shorted to ground

VSS signal circuit to the speedometer is open
 
VSS signal from the speedometer to TCM is open

VSS is damaged or has failed
 
TCM has failed

PCM or the TCM has failed

Battery Direct To PCM Circuit Malfunction

Possible Causes:



KAM circuit is open (the problem may be intermittent)
 
KAM circuit is shorted to ground (KAM fuse is blown)
 
KAM circuit connection loose in wiring harness or at the PCM
 
PCM has failed

Closed throttle switch signal circuit to the TCM is open
