Brake switch signal circuit is open or shorted ground

PCM has failed

Transmission Range Switch Circuit Malfunction

Possible Causes:



TR signal -P- circuit open between the switch and the PCM (0v)
 
TR signal -D- circuit open between the switch and the PCM (0v)
 
TR signal -S- circuit open between the switch and the PCM (0v)
 
TR signal -L- circuit open between the switch and the PCM (0v)
 
TR switch or its connector is damaged, or the switch has failed
 
PCM has failed

TR switch signal circuit is shorted to another switch signal
 
TR switch signal circuit is open (problem may be intermittent)

TR switch signal circuit is open between the switch and PCM

TR switch or its connector is damaged, or the switch has failed
 
PCM has failed

Possible Causes:



TFT sensor signal circuit is open between sensor and the PCM
 
TFT sensor signal circuit is shorted to ground
 
TFT sensor is damaged or has failed

Transmission Fluid Temperature Sensor Low Input (High Temperature)

Possible Causes:



TFT sensor signal circuit has a short toe ground condition
 
TFT sensor is damaged or has failed (it may be shorted)
 
PCM has failed

Transmission Fluid Temperature Sensor High Input (Low Temperature)

Possible Causes:



TFT sensor signal circuit is open between sensor and the PCM
 
TFT sensor signal circuit has a short to power condition
 
TFT sensor is damaged or has failed (it may be open)

TSS (+) signal circuit is open (an intermittent fault)

ATF level is too low, or the ATF is badly deteriorated
 
A/T line pressure is low, or the oil pump has failed
 
SSA, SSB, SSC or the PCS is stuck (mechanical fault)
 
A/T 1-2 clutch is slipping (mechanical fault)
 
A/T 1-2 shift valve is stuck (mechanical fault)
 
A/T Pressure regulator or the pressure modifier valve is stuck
 
A/T solenoid reducing valve is stuck (mechanical fault)
 
PCM has failed

Transmission 2nd Gear Ratio Incorrect

ATF level is too low, or the ATF is badly deteriorated
