Possible Causes:



A PCM Reset step was performed with an OBD II Scan Tool
 
Battery keep alive power (KAPWR) was removed to the PCM
 
One or more OBD II Monitors did not complete during an official OBD II Drive Cycle

Data Link Connector Circuit Malfunction

Possible Causes:



DLC connector or the related terminals/pins are damaged
 
DLC Bus (+) circuit is open or shorted to ground
 
DLC Bus (+) circuit is shorted at an associated module
 
DLC ground circuit is open or has a high resistance condition
 
PCM power relay is damaged or has failed (no power to DLC)
 
Incorrect Self-Test procedure followed, or idle speed to low
 
PCM has failed (e.g., the PCM VREF may be out-of-range)

Possible Causes:



MAF sensor signal circuit is open or grounded (intermittent)
 
MAF sensor is damaged, dirty or has failed
 
MAF sensor (inlet) screen is dirty or blocked
 
TP sensor is damaged or erratic in operation
 
PCM has failed

MAF Signal Inconsistent with Engine Speed (Too High)

Possible Causes:



MAF sensor signal circuit is open or grounded (intermittent)
 
MAF sensor is damaged, dirty or has failed
 
MAF sensor (inlet) screen is dirty or blocked
 
An intake air leak is present near the MAF sensor location
 
PCM has failed

HO2S-12 (Bank 1 Sensor 2) Circuit No Inversion

Possible Causes:



An air leak that is located after the MAF sensor
 
Base engine mechanical fault affecting one or more cylinders
 
EVAP Purge valve stuck or the hoses to the valve are reversed
 
Fuel metering fault (fuel injector sticking open or leaking)
 
Fuel pressure too low or too high, fuel supply contaminated
 
HO2S element is contaminated or the HO2S heater has failed
 
PCV system has air leaks at the valve or related hoses
