Diagnosis & Testing
Switch
Driver-s (Left) Side

NOTE
When inspecting the passenger-s side and the rear, turn the power-cut switch to UNLOCK.

  1. Inspect for continuity between the power window main switch terminals. If not as specified, replace the power window main switch.
  2.  
  3. Connect battery positive voltage to terminal N and ground to the terminal K. Verify that continuity exists. If not as specified, replace the power window main switch.

Passenger-s (Right) Side
  1. Check continuity as indicated in the accompanying chart. If not as indicated in the chart, replace the passenger side power window sub-switch

  3. Connect battery positive voltage to terminal E and ground to the terminal A. Verify that continuity exists. If not as specified, replace the power window sub-switch.

  5. Connect battery positive voltage to terminal E and ground to the terminal B. Verify that continuity exists. If not as specified, replace the power window sub-switch.
  6.  

Removal & Installation
Motor & Regulator
  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
  2.  
  3. Remove the inner garnish, as follows:
    1. Pull the inner garnish outward and detach clip A.

    3. Detach the tab.
    4.  
    5. Disconnect the tweeter connector and remove the inner garnish.
    6.

  5. Remove the front door trim, as follows:
    1. Using a small flathead screwdriver, open the cap and remove the screw, then remove the inner handle cover.

    3. Using a flathead screwdriver, pry up the rear part of the switch panel and detach the clip.

    5. Remove the switch panel from the front door trim keeping the tab from catching.
    6.  
    7. Disconnect the power window main switch connector, the power mirror switch connector, and the power window sub-switch connector.
    8.  
    9. Remove the screws.
    10.  
    11. Detach clips A from the front door using a fastener remover.
    12.  
    13. Pull the front door trim upward, then detach tabs B from the front door.
    14.  
    15. Remove the courtesy light.
    16.  
    17. Remove the front door trim.

  7. Remove the front door glass, as follows:
    1. Position the front door glass so that the distance between the top of the front door glass and top of the front beltline molding is 140 mm (5.51 in).

    3. Remove the hole cover.
    4.  
    5. Remove the screws.
    6.  
    7. Carefully lift the front door glass up, then remove it while tilting it in the direction of the arrow.
      NOTE
      Remove the speaker with the wiring harness passing through the groove of the front door module

  9. Unfasten the front door speaker mounting screws, then while pulling the speaker away from the door, detach the connector.

  11. Remove the front door unit, as follows:
    1. Disconnect the door lock actuator connector.
    2.  
    3. Remove the front door wiring harness from the front door unit.
    4.  
    5. Remove screw A.
    6.  
    7. Remove screws B and the fastener.
    8.  
    9. Remove the front door unit.

  13. Remove the front power window motor.
  14.  
  15. Remove the front power window regulator
  16.  
  17. Remove the front door speaker amplifier

  19. Installation is the reverse of the removal procedure.

Switch
Driver-S (Left) Side
  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
  2.  
  3. Remove the power window main switch, as follows:
    1. Using a flathead screwdriver wrapped with protective tape, pry up the rear of the switch panel and detach the clip.

    3. Remove the switch panel from the front door trim keeping the tab from catching.
    4.  
    5. Disconnect the power window main switch connector and the power mirror switch connector.
    6.  
    7. Remove the screws, then remove the power window main switch.

  5. Installation is the reverse of the removal procedure.

Passenger-S (Right) Side
  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.

  7. Disconnect the power window sub-switch connector.

  9. Remove the screws, then remove the power window sub-switch.
