For information on timing, valve lash, idle speed and mixture adjustments, refer to General Information & Maintenance . The only other adjustment possible is the air gap adjustment on the 1987-88 2.6L engine, which is outlined below:
AIR GAP ADJUSTMENT

Air gap adjustment is possible on 1987-1988 2.6L engines.
- Using a wrench on the crankshaft pulley nut, turn the distributor shaft until one of the high points on the reluctor is aligned with the pickup coil face.
- Loosen the set screws and move the pickup coil until the gap between it and the signal rotor is 0.8mm, measured with a brass or plastic feeler gauge.
- Tighten the set screws and recheck the gap.
