WARNING
All suspension fasteners that pass through a rubber bushing, should be tightened while the vehicle is at normal ride height. Premature bushing failure may occur if the fasteners are tightened while the suspension is hanging.

  1. Install or connect the following:

Shock absorber upper and lower mounting. On the upper mounting, torque the bottom nut to 11-13 ft. lbs. (15-18 Nm) and the upper nut to 22 ft. lbs. (30 Nm). Torque the new self-locking nut on the lower mounting to 136 ft. lbs. (185 Nm).

Stabilizer bar. Torque the bracket bolts to 15 ft. lbs. (20 Nm).

NOTE
Ensure that the axle shaft is in the proper position before connecting the follower joint.

Follower joint with new self-locking nut. Torque nut to 33 ft. lbs. (45 Nm).

Supporting joint with new self-locking nut. Torque nut to 77 ft. lbs. (105 Nm).

Tie rod end with new self-locking nut. Torque nut to 44 ft. lbs. (60 Nm).

Speed and brake lining sensor wires

Brake hose bracket

New axle shaft 12-point nut. Torque to 162 ft. lbs. (220 Nm). Secure the nut with caulk (nut lock) so there is no gap between the groove and locking tab.
