Mercury Villager Nissan Quest 1997-2000

Data Link Connector (DLC)

Print

There are two types of data link connectors (DLC) used on 1993-00 vehicles. One connector is for the factory scan tool, which requires an adapter for generic scan tool use. The other connector conforms to On Board Diagnostic II (OBD-II) standards, and will accept a generic/OBD-II scan tool connector.

On 1993-95 vehicles, the factory data link connector is located behind the interior fuse panel cover, beneath the fuse block. There is no OBD-II data link connector.

On 1996-00 vehicles, the factory DLC is located behind the interior fuse panel cover, above the fuse block. The OBD-II data link connector is located under the dash on the driver's side.
