Possible Causes:



Check the operation of the thermostat (it may be stuck open)
 
ECT sensor signal circuit has high resistance
 
ECT sensor has failed
 
Inspect for low coolant level or an incorrect coolant mixture

Thermostat Malfunction

Possible Causes:



Check the operation of the thermostat (it may be stuck open)
 
ECT sensor is damaged or out-of-calibration (it is "skewed")
 
PCM has failed

Fuel Trim Fault (Bank 2)

Possible Causes:



Air leaks after the MAF sensor, or in the EGR or PCV system
 
Base engine "mechanical" fault affecting one or more cylinders
 
Exhaust leaks located in front of the A/FS or HO2S location
 
Fuel control sensor is out of calibration (i.e., ECT, IAT or MAP)
 
Fuel delivery system supplying too little fuel during cruise or idle periods (e.g., faulty fuel pump or dirty, restricted fuel filter)
 
Fuel injector (one or more) dirty or pressure regulator has failed
 
HO2S is contaminated, deteriorated or it has failed
 
Vehicle driven low on fuel or until it ran out of fuel

CKP sensor power circuit is open (check power to MFI relay)
 
CKP sensor is damaged or has failed
 
PCM has failed (the PCM provides the 5v VREF to the sensor)

Camshaft Position Sensor Circuit Malfunction

Possible Causes:



CMP sensor signal circuit is open or shorted to ground
 
CMP sensor ground circuit is open
 
CMP sensor power circuit is open (check power to MFI relay)
 
CMP sensor is damaged or has failed
 
PCM has failed (the PCM provides the 5v VREF to the sensor)

EGR Control Solenoid Circuit Malfunction

Possible Causes:



EGR solenoid control circuit is open or shorted to ground
 
EGR solenoid power circuit is open (check power from relay)
 
EGR solenoid is damaged or has failed
 
PCM has failed

Warmup Catalyst System Efficiency Low (Bank 1)

Possible Causes:



Air leaks at the exhaust manifold or in the exhaust pipes
 
Catalytic converter is damaged, contaminated or has failed
 
Front HO2S or rear HO2S is contaminated with fuel or moisture
 
Front HO2S and/or the rear HO2S is loose in the mounting hole
 
Front HO2S older (aged) than the rear HO2S (HO2S is lazy)
