Vehicle Speed Sensor Circuit Malfunction

Possible Causes:



VSS signal circuit is open or shorted to ground
 
VSS power circuit is open (check for power from MFI relay)
 
VSS ground circuit is open between sensor and chassis ground
 
VSS is damaged or has failed
 
PCM has failed (the PCM provides 5v on the VSS signal circuit)

Transmission Range Sensor Circuit Malfunction

Possible Causes:



P/N switch signal circuit is open or shorted to ground
 
P/N switch power circuit is open (check for power at MFI relay)
 
P/N switch is out-of-adjustment
 
P/N switch is damaged or has failed
 
PCM has failed
 

Trouble Code: P0705



Transmission Range Sensor Circuit Malfunction

Possible Causes:



P/N switch signal circuit is open or shorted to ground
 
P/N switch power circuit is open (check for power at MFI relay)
 
P/N switch is out-of-adjustment

Output speed sensor signal circuit is open or shorted to ground

Engine Speed Sensor Signal to TCM

Possible Causes:



CKP sensor signal circuit to TCM is open or shorted to ground
 
CKP sensor is damaged, erratic or has failed
 
TCM or the PCM (controller) has failed

A/T Lockup Control Out-Of-Range Malfunction

Possible Causes:



Transmission fluid is contaminated, or the fluid level is too low
 
Worn pump bushing and/or the TCC is damaged or has failed
 
Valve body lockup accumulator diameter is out of specification

A/T LR Solenoid Circuit Malfunction

Possible Causes:



LR solenoid control circuit is open, shorted to ground or power
 
LR pressure switch is open, shorted to ground or it has failed
 
LR solenoid is damaged or has failed
 
TCM power ground circuit is open, or the TCM has failed

A/T OD Solenoid Circuit Malfunction

Possible Causes:



OD solenoid control circuit is open, shorted to ground or power
 
OD pressure switch is open, shorted to ground or it has failed
 
OD solenoid is damaged or has failed
 
TCM power ground circuit is open, or the TCM has failed

UD solenoid control circuit is open, shorted to ground or power
