Removal & Installation



  1. Before servicing the vehicle, refer to the Precautions Section.
  2.  
  3. Raise and support the vehicle safely.
  4.  
  5. Remove the under cover.
  6.  
  7. Remove the left and right stabilizer link assemblies.
  8.  
  9. Remove the left and right stabilizer bar retaining bolts. Remove the bushings. Remove the stabilizer bar from the vehicle.
  10.  

To install:

  1. Position the bushing slip as shown in the illustration. Position the stabilizer clamps as shown in the illustration.

  3. Install the stabilizer bar. Tighten the mounting bolts to 72-87 ft. lbs. (34-54 Nm).

  5. Continue the installation in the reverse order of the removal procedure.
  6.  

  1. Before servicing the vehicle, refer to the Precautions Section.

  3. Raise and support the vehicle safely.
  4.  
  5. Remove the under cover.
  6.  
  7. Remove the outside left and right stabilizer bracket bushing retaining screws. Remove the brackets. Remove the bushings.
  8.  
  9. Remove the inside left and right stabilizer bracket bushing retaining bolts. Remove the brackets. Remove the bushings.
  10.  
  11. Remove the stabilizer bar from the vehicle.
  12.  
  13. Remove the stabilizer link assembly.
  14.  

To install:

  1. Installation is the reverse of the removal procedure.
  2.  
  3. Tighten the stabilizer link so that in the tightened position the threaded rod of the assembly protrudes about 0.2-0.3 inch.
