Removal & Installation
Motor
  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
  2.  
  3. Remove the delta cover.
  4.  
  5. Remove the tweeter.
  6.  
  7. Remove the door mirror assembly.
  8.  
  9. Remove the door mirror body assembly.
    WARNING
    The claws of the mirror are prone to breaking in cold temperatures. Always warm up the mirror claws and surrounding area to at least 60°F (20°C) before attempting to remove the mirror.

  11. Remove the mirror, as follows:
    1. Slant the mirror upward with your hand. Then insert a flat-blade screwdriver or prytool with its tip wrapped in protective tape between the pivot plate and mirror through the notch from behind the mirror. Then pry off the mirror claws and remove the mirror as shown in the accompanying illustration.

To install:

  1. Install the door mirror. Make sure the claws of the mirror are properly inserted into the notch of the front door run channel.

  3. Install the door mirror body.
  4.  
  5. Install the mirror assembly.
  6.  
  7. Install the tweeter.
    WARNING
    If the delta cover is placed with the clip on the door panel, the clip may be pushed into the door panel and fall off. Be careful to avoid this when installing the cover.

  9. Install the delta cover with the clip installed.

  11. Connect the negative battery cable.
  12.  

Switch
  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
  2.  
  3. Remove the lower instrument panel cover.
  4.  
  5. Remove the remote controlled power mirror switch.
  6.  
  7. Installation is the reverse of the removal procedure.
