REMOVAL & INSTALLATION
The fuse box on most models is located under the instrument panel on the left (driver's side) above the cowl side trim, other models have it located on the left-hand end of the instrument panel. Almost all vehicles after 1986 have an additional fuse and relay board under the hood near the battery. The most common circuits are on the interior fuseboard for ease of changing the fuse by the driver; the fuses under the hood tend to control peripheral systems used occasionally such as the rear window defogger.
The underhood relay board may have additional fuse boards mounted to it as other circuits run from it. Further additional fuses may be mounted directly at the positive battery terminal, monitoring circuits which originate there. It is in your best interest to read the owner's manual carefully and identify the location of certain fuses which could affect the safety and operation of the vehicle. You could drive home without the heater fan working, but could you make the same drive without headlights-
