Crankcase Ventilation System

A sealed crankcase ventilation system is used to prevent the blow-by gasses from escaping into the atmosphere. This system consists of a breather hose, an outlet pipe at the rocker cover, and an inlet pipe at the air intake hose.

Blow-by gasses generated in the crankcase are drawn into the air intake hose through the breather hose in the valve cover. Aside from keeping the hose and passages clean and open, the system requires no maintenance.
