Fig. Fig. 7: To remove the rear parking lamp bulb, pull it straight out of the socket

  1. If necessary, unfasten and remove the lens housing.
  2.
  3. Disengage the bulb and socket assembly from the lens housing.
  4.
  5. Gently grasp the light bulb and remove it from the socket. Depending on the type of bulb, you must either depress and twist the bulb 1 / 8 or pull it straight out of its socket. Refer to the accompanying photographs.
  6.

To install:
  1. Before installing the light bulb into the socket, ensure that all electrical contact surfaces are free of corrosion or dirt.
  2.
  3. Line up the base of the light bulb with the socket, then insert the light bulb into the socket until it is fully seated. If the (turn signal) bulb has pins on its base, be sure that they are properly oriented.
  4.
  5. To ensure that the replacement bulb functions properly, activate the applicable switch to illuminate the bulb which was just replaced. If the replacement light bulb does not illuminate, either it too is faulty or there is a problem in the bulb circuit or switch. Correct as necessary.
  6.
  7. Install the socket and bulb assembly into the lens housing.
  8.
  9. If applicable, position and reattach the lens housing.
  10.

  4.

To install:
  1. Before installing the light bulb into the socket, ensure that all electrical contact surfaces are free of corrosion or dirt.
  2.
  3. Line up the base of the light bulb with the socket, then insert the light bulb into the socket until it is fully seated.
  4.

Fig. Fig. 13: Push the bulb in slightly and rotate 1/8 turn counterclockwise to remove

  1. Depending on the vehicle and bulb application, either unscrew and remove the lens or disengage the bulb and socket assembly from the rear of the lens housing.
  2.
  3. To remove a light bulb with retaining pins from its socket, grasp the bulb, then gently depress and twist it 1 / 8 turn counterclockwise, and pull it from the socket.
  4.

To install:
  1. Before installing a light bulb into the socket, ensure that all electrical contact surfaces are free of corrosion or dirt.
  2.

Before installing the light bulb, note the positions of the two retaining pins on the bulb. They will likely be at different heights on the bulb, to ensure that the bulb is installed correctly. If, when installing the bulb, it does not turn easily, do not force it. Remove the bulb and rotate it 180 degrees from its former position, then reinsert it into the bulb socket.

  1. Insert the light bulb into the socket and, while depressing the bulb, twist it 1 / 8 turn clockwise until the two pins on the light bulb are properly engaged in the socket.
  2.
  3. To ensure that the replacement bulb functions properly, activate the applicable switch to illuminate the bulb which was just replaced. If the replacement light bulb does not illuminate, either it too is faulty or there is a problem in the bulb circuit or switch. Correct if necessary.
  4.
  5. If applicable, install the socket and bulb assembly into the rear of the lens housing; otherwise, install the lens over the bulb.
  6.

See Figure 14

Fig. Fig. 14: Disengage the spring clip which retains one tapered end of this dome light bulb, then withdraw the bulb

  1. Using a small prytool, carefully remove the cover lens from the lamp assembly.
  2.
  3. Remove the bulb from its retaining clip contacts. If the bulb has tapered ends, gently depress the spring clip/metal contact and disengage the light bulb, then pull it free of the two metal contacts.
  4.

To install:
  1. Before installing the light bulb into the metal contacts, ensure that all electrical conducting surfaces are free of corrosion or dirt.
  2.
  3. Position the bulb between the two metal contacts. If the contacts have small holes, be sure that the tapered ends of the bulb are situated in them.
  4.
  5. To ensure that the replacement bulb functions properly, activate the applicable switch to illuminate the bulb which was just replaced. If the replacement light bulb does not illuminate, either it is faulty or there is a problem in the bulb circuit or switch. Correct as necessary.
  6.
  7. Install the cover lens until its retaining tabs are properly engaged.
  8.
