Removal And Installation
  1. Position the steering wheel in the straight-ahead position.
  2.  
  3. Turn the ignition switch OFF.
  4.  
  5. Disconnect the negative (() battery cable; then, the positive (+) battery cable.
    NOTE
    Wait for a least 3 minutes after disconnecting the battery cables for the charge in the air bag circuit to dissipate before working on the air bag module(s).

  6.  
  7. Remove the driver-s side SRS and steering wheel by performing the following procedure:

    Remove the lower lid from the steering wheel and disconnect the driver-s air bag module connector.
     
    Remove both the left and right side lids from the steering wheel.
     
    Using a tamper resistant Torx wrench (T50), remove the special bolts from both side of the steering wheel.
     
    Carefully, remove the air bag module and store it face up.
     
    Disconnect the horn-s electrical connector and remove the steering wheel nut.
     
    Using a steering wheel puller, press the steering wheel from the steering column.
     

  8.  
  9. Remove the passenger-s side SRS by performing the following procedure:

    Remove the glove box door and the glove box.
     
    Disconnect the front passenger-s air bag module connector.
     
    Using a tamper resistant Torx wrench (T50), remove the 2 special bolts.
     
    Remove the 4 passenger-s air bag-to-instrument panel nuts.
     
    Carefully, remove the front passenger-s air bag module and store it face up.
     

  10.  
  11. Drain the cooling system into a clean container for reuse.
  12.  
  13. Discharge and recover the air conditioning system refrigerant.
  14.  
  15. Working in the engine compartment, disconnect the heater hoses from the heater core tubes.
  16.  
  17. Remove the instrument panel by performing the following procedures:

    On the driver-s side, remove the 2 lower panel-to-instrument panel screws and the lower panel.
     
    Remove the 2 lower reinforcement panel-to-instrument panel screws and the lower reinforcement panel.
     
    Remove the 6 steering column cover screws, the cover and combination switch.
     
    Remove the 2 cluster lid -A- screws and the cluster lid -A-.
     
    Remove the 3 combination meter screws, disconnect the electrical harness connector and remove the combination meter.
     
    Remove the ashtray.
     
    Remove the cluster lid -C- mask, screw and the cluster lid -C-.
     
    Remove the 8 audio and air conditioning control assembly-to-instrument panel screws, the electrical connectors and the audio and air conditioning control assembly.
     
    Remove the transmission shifter finisher.
     
    Remove the rear console mask, the 4 screws and the rear console.
     
    Remove the 4 front console screws and the front console.
     
    Remove the front pillar garnish.
     
    Remove the lower dash side garnish.
     
    Remove the instrument panel mask.
     
    Remove the instrument panel-to-chassis nuts/bolts and the instrument panel.
     

  18.  
  19. Remove the air conditioning housing assembly by performing the following procedure:

    Disconnect the refrigerant lines from the air conditioning housing assembly.
     
    Disconnect the thermo control amp.
     
    Remove the air conditioning housing assembly.
     

  20.  
  21. Remove the heater unit.
  22.  
  23. Remove the heater core from the heater unit.

To install:

  1. Install the heater core to the heater unit.
  2.  
  3. Install the heater unit.
  4.  
  5. Install the air conditioning housing assembly by performing the following procedure:

    Install the air conditioning housing assembly.
     
    Connect the thermo control amp.
     
    Connect the refrigerant lines to the air conditioning housing assembly.
     

  6.  
  7. Install the instrument panel by performing the following procedures:

    Install the instrument panel and the instrument panel-to-chassis nuts/bolts.
     
    Install the instrument panel mask.
     
    Install the lower dash side garnish.
     
    Install the front pillar garnish.
     
    Install the front console and the 4 front console screws.
     
    Install the rear console, the 4 screws and the rear console mask.
     
    Install the transmission shifter finisher.
     
    Install the air conditioning control assembly, the electrical connectors and the audio and the 8 audio and air conditioning control assembly-to-instrument panel screws.
     
    Install the cluster lid -C-, the screw and the cluster lid -C- mask.
     
    Install the ashtray.
     
    Install the combination meter, connect the electrical harness connector and install the 3 combination meter screws.
     
    Install the cluster lid -A- and the 2 cluster lid -A- screws.
     
    Install the combination switch, the cover and the 6 steering column cover screws.
     
    Install the lower reinforcement panel and the 2 lower reinforcement panel-to-instrument panel screws.
     
    On the driver-s side, install the lower panel and the 2 lower panel-to-instrument panel screws.
     

  8.  
  9. Working in the engine compartment, connect the heater hoses to the heater core tubes.
  10.  
  11. Install the passenger-s side SRS by performing the following procedure:

    Carefully, install the front passenger-s air bag module.
     
    Install the 4 passenger-s air bag-to-instrument panel nuts.
     
    Using a tamper resistant Torx wrench (T50), install the 2 new special bolts and torque to 11-18 ft. lbs. (15-25 Nm).
     
    Connect the front passenger-s air bag module connector.
     
    Install the glove box door and the glove box.
     

  12.  
  13. Install the driver-s side SRS and steering wheel by performing the following procedure:

    Install the steering wheel to the steering column.
     
    Install the steering wheel nut and torque the nut to 22-29 ft. lbs. Connect the horn-s electrical connector.
     
    Carefully, install the air bag module.
     
    Using a tamper resistant Torx wrench (T50), install the new special bolts to both side of the steering wheel and torque the bolts to 11-18 ft. lbs. (15-25 Nm).
     
    Install both the left and right side lids to the steering wheel.
     
    Install the lower lid to the steering wheel and connect the driver-s air bag module connector.
     

  14.  
  15. Refill the cooling system.
  16.  
  17. Connect the positive (+) battery cable; then, the negative (() battery cable.
  18.  
  19. Evacuate, charge and leak test the air conditioning system refrigerant.
  20.  
  21. Operate the engine to normal operating temperatures; then, check the climate control operation and check for leaks.
  22.

Removal And Installation
  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
    CAUTION
    If equipped with an air bag system, wait 10 minutes for the system to fully de-energize before proceeding. Do not use a memory saver.

  2.  
  3. Set the TEMP lever to the maximum HOT position.
  4.  
  5. Drain the cooling system into a clean container for reuse.
  6.  
  7. Disconnect the heater hoses from the driver-s side of the heater unit.
  8.  
  9. Remove the console box and the floor mats.
  10.  
  11. Remove the instrument panel lower covers from both the driver-s side and the passenger-s side of the vehicle. Remove the lower cluster lids.

  13. Remove the left side ventilator duct. Detach the defroster duct from the upper center heater unit opening.
  14.  
  15. Remove the panel from the back side of the steering wheel and disconnect the air bag connector.
  16.  
  17. Remove the radio, equalizer and stereo cassette deck, as required.
  18.  
  19. Remove the instrument pane-to-transmission tunnel stay.
  20.  
  21. Remove the rear heater duct from the floor of the vehicle.
  22.  
  23. Remove the center ventilator duct.
  24.  
  25. Remove the left and right side ventilator ducts from the lower heater outlets.
  26.  
  27. Disconnect and label the wiring harness connections.
  28.  
  29. Separate the heating unit. Remove the 2 screws at the bottom sides of the heater unit and the 1 screw at the top of the unit and remove the unit together with heater control assembly.
  30.  
  31. Separate the heater case halves and slide the core from the case.

To install:

  1. Install the heater core and assemble the heater case halves. Use new gaskets and seals, as required.
  2.  
  3. Mount the heater unit/control assembly and install the upper and lower attaching screws.
  4.  
  5. Plug in the wiring harness connectors.
  6.  
  7. Connect the left and right side ducts to the lower heater outlets.
  8.  
  9. Connect the center ventilator duct.
  10.  
  11. Connect the rear heater duct.
  12.  
  13. Attach the instrument panel-to-transmission stay.
  14.  
  15. Install the cassette deck, equalizer and radio.
  16.  
  17. Connect the upper defroster duct to the upper center heater opening. Connect the left side ventilator duct.
  18.  
  19. Install the lower cluster lids and lower instrument panel covers.
  20.  
  21. Install the floor mats and console box.
  22.  
  23. Install the front seats. Torque the seat bolts to 32-41 ft. lbs. (43-55 Nm).
  24.  
  25. Connect the heater hoses. Use new grommets, as required.
  26.  
  27. Refill the cooling system.
  28.  
  29. If equipped with an air bag, connect the module connector at the steering wheel.
  30.  
  31. Connect the negative battery cable.
  32.  
  33. Operate the engine to normal operating temperatures; then, check the climate control operation and check for leaks.
  34.

  1. Before servicing the vehicle, refer to the Precautions section.
  2.  
  3. Discharge the A/C system using approved recycling equipment.
  4.  
  5. Drain the cooling system.
  6.  
  7. Remove or disconnect the following:

    Hood ledge cover
     
    Both wiper arms
     
    Cowl rubber seal
     
    Cowl top cover and washer hose
     
    Evaporator lines from the firewall and cap openings
     
    Electronic throttle control assembly
     
    Heater hoses
     
    Kick panels on both sides
     
    Foot rests
     
    Passenger side lower instrument panel cover
     
    Instrument panel side finish panels on both sides
     
    Cluster Lid C
     
    Data link connector
     
    Hood lock cable
     
    Steering column lower cover
     
    4 bolts and combination meter
     

  8.  
  9. Position the steering wheel in the straight-ahead position.
  10.  
  11. Turn the ignition switch OFF.
  12.  
  13. Disconnect the negative (-) battery cable; then, the positive (+) battery cable.
  14.  


NOTE
Wait for a least 3 minutes after disconnecting the battery cables for the charge in the air bag circuit to dissipate before working on the air bag module(s).

  1. Remove the driver-s side SRS and steering wheel by performing the following procedure:

    Remove both the left and right side lids from the steering wheel.
     
    Using a tamper resistant Torx® wrench (T50), remove the special bolts from both sides of the steering wheel.
     
    Steering wheel switch sub-harness connector
     
    Air bag harness connector
     
    Carefully remove the air bag module and store it face up.
     

  2.  
  3. Remove or disconnect the following:

    Steering wheel
     
    Steering column upper cover
     
    Spiral cable connector
     
    Combination switch
     
    Automatic transmission console finisher panel, if equipped
     
    Manual transmission shift knob, if equipped
     
    Center console
     
    Cup holder
     
    Passenger side lower instrument panel cover
     
    Instrument panel side cover
     
    Navigation switch cover panel and switch connector
     
    Audio cluster lid
     
    Audio unit and meter assembly
     
    Display unit
     
    Garnish panels and side finishers
     
    Passenger air bag connector
     
    Passenger air bag bolt and passenger air bag
     
    ECM and bracket
     
    Intake door motor and blower motor connectors
     
    2 screws, 1 bolt and the blower unit
     
    Left and right instrument panel stays
     
    Defroster and ventilation ducts
     
    Heating-A/C unit
     
    Heater pipe cover, support and grommet
     
    Slide the heater core out of the heating-A/C unit

To install:

  1. Install or connect the following:

    Heater core to the heater-A/C unit
     
    Heater pipe cover, support and grommet
     
    Heater-A/C unit and tighten the bolts to 61 inch lbs. (7 Nm)
     
    Defroster and ventilation ducts
     
    Left and right instrument panel stays
     
    2 screws, 1 bolt and the blower unit
     
    Intake door motor and blower motor connectors
     
    ECM and bracket
     
    Passenger air bag and tighten the bolt to 15-21 ft. lbs. (20-29 Nm)
     
    Passenger air bag connector
     
    Garnish panels and side finishers
     
    Display unit
     
    Audio unit and meter assembly
     
    Audio cluster lid
     
    Navigation switch cover panel and switch connector
     
    Instrument panel side cover
     
    Passenger side lower instrument panel cover
     
    Cup holder
     
    Center console
     
    Manual transmission shift knob, if equipped
     
    Automatic transmission console finisher panel, if equipped
     
    Combination switch
     
    Spiral cable connector
     
    Steering column upper cover
     
    Steering wheel and tighten the bolt to 22-28 ft. lbs. (30-39 Nm)
     
    Driver air bag module and tighten the bolts to 83 inch lbs. (9.4 Nm)
     
    Air bag harness connector
     
    Steering wheel switch sub-harness connector
     
    Both the left and right side lids to steering wheel
     
    4 bolts and combination meter
     
    Steering column lower cover
     
    Hood lock cable

  1. Before servicing the vehicle, refer to the Precautions section.

  8.  


NOTE

  1. Remove the driver-s side SRS and steering wheel by removing or disconnecting the following:

    Lower lid from the steering wheel and disconnect the driver-s air bag module connector

    Special bolts from both side of the steering wheel using a tamper resistant Torx® wrench (T50)
     
    Air bag module and store it face up
     
    Horn-s electrical connector and remove the steering wheel nut
     
    Steering wheel from the steering column using a suitable puller
     

  2.  
  3. Remove the passenger-s side SRS by removing or disconnecting the following:

    Glove box door and the glove box
     
    Front passenger-s air bag module connector
     
    2 special bolts using a tamper resistant Torx® wrench (T50)
     
    4 passenger-s air bag-to-instrument panel nuts
     
    Front passenger-s air bag module and store it face up.
     

  4.  
  5. Drain the cooling system into a clean container for reuse.
  6.  
  7. Discharge and recover the air conditioning system refrigerant.
  8.  
  9. Working in the engine compartment, disconnect the heater hoses from the heater core tubes.
  10.  
  11. Remove the instrument panel by removing or disconnecting the following:

    Kick plate and dash side finisher on the driver-s side
     
    2 lower panel-to-instrument panel screws and the lower panel on the driver-s side
     
    2 lower reinforcement panel-to-instrument panel screws and the lower reinforcement panel
     
    6 steering column cover screws, the covers, the spiral cable and combination switch
     
    2 cluster lid -A- screws and the cluster lid -A-
     
    3 combination meter screws, disconnect the electrical harness connector and remove the combination meter
     
    Switch panel
     
    Instrument panel lower covers
     
    Snap out the transmission shifter finisher (boot)
     
    4 cluster lid -C- screws and the cluster lid -C-
     
    4 audio and deck pocket-to-instrument panel screws and the audio and deck pocket
     
    5 center console screws and the center console
     
    2 center instrument panel screws and the center panel
     
    front defroster grilles
     
    Front pillar garnish
     
    Instrument panel 3 nuts/4 screws and the instrument panel
     
    8 instrument stay assembly nuts and the stay
     
    Steering member assembly 5 nuts/1 bolt and the steering member

  13. Remove the air conditioning housing assembly by removing or disconnecting the following:

    Refrigerant lines from the air conditioning housing assembly
     
    Thermo control amp
     
    Air conditioning housing assembly
     

  14.  
  15. Remove or disconnect the following:

    Heater unit
     
    Heater core from the heater unit

To install:

  1. Install or connect the following:

    Heater core to the heater unit
     
    Heater unit
     

  2.  
  3. Install the air conditioning housing assembly by installing or connecting the following:

    Air conditioning housing assembly
     
    Thermo control amp
     
    Refrigerant lines to the air conditioning housing assembly
     

  4.  
  5. Install the instrument panel by installing or connecting the following:

    Steering member assembly and the steering member 5 nuts/1 bolt
     
    Instrument stay assembly and the 8 stay nuts
     
    Instrument panel and the instrument panel 3 nuts/4 screws
     
    Front pillar garnish
     
    Front defroster grilles
     
    Center instrument panel and the 2 center panel screws
     
    Center console and the 5 center console screws
     
    Audio and deck pocket and the 4 audio and deck pocket-to-instrument panel screws
     
    Cluster lid -C- and the 4 cluster lid -C- screws
     
    Snap in the transmission shifter finisher (boot)
     
    Instrument panel lower covers
     
    Switch panel
     
    Combination meter, connect the electrical harness connector and install the 3 combination meter screws
     
    Cluster lid -A- and the 2 cluster lid -A- screw
     
    Combination switch, the spiral cable, the covers and the 6 steering column cover screws
     
    Lower reinforcement panel and the 2 lower reinforcement panel-to-instrument panel screws
     
    Lower panel and the 2 lower panel-to-instrument panel screws, on the driver-s side
     
    Kick plate and dash side finisher, on the driver-s side
     

  6.  
  7. Working in the engine compartment, connect the heater hoses to the heater core tubes.
  8.  
  9. Install the passenger-s side SRS by installing or connecting the following:

    Front passenger-s air bag module
     
    4 passenger-s air bag-to-instrument panel nuts
     
    2 new special bolts and torque using a tamper resistant Torx® wrench (T50) to 11-18 ft. lbs. (15-25 Nm)
     
    Front passenger-s air bag module connector
     
    Glove box door and the glove box
     

  10.  
  11. Install the driver-s side SRS and steering wheel by installing or connecting the following:

    Steering wheel to the steering column
     
    Steering wheel nut and torque the nut to 22-29 ft. lbs.
     
    Horn-s electrical connector
     
    Air bag module
     
    New special bolts to both sides of the steering wheel and torque the bolts using a tamper resistant Torx® wrench (T50) to 11-18 ft. lbs. (15-25 Nm).
     
    Both the left and right side lids to the steering wheel
     
    Lower lid to the steering wheel and connect the driver-s air bag module connector
     

  12.  
  13. Refill the cooling system.
  14.  
  15. Connect the positive (+) battery cable; then, the negative (-) battery cable.
  16.

    Steering wheel from the steering column using a suitable puller

  11. Remove the passenger-s side SRS by removing or disconnecting the following:

    Glove box door and the glove box
     
    Front passenger-s air bag module connector
     
    2 special bolts using a tamper resistant Torx® wrench (T50)
     
    4 passenger-s air bag-to-instrument panel nuts
     
    Front passenger-s air bag module and store it face up.
     

  12.  
  13. Drain the cooling system into a clean container for reuse.
  14.  
  15. Discharge and recover the air conditioning system refrigerant.
  16.  
  17. Working in the engine compartment, disconnect the heater hoses from the heater core tubes.
  18.  
  19. Remove the instrument panel by removing or disconnecting the following:

    Kick plate and dash side finisher on the driver-s side
     
    2 lower panel-to-instrument panel screws and the lower panel on the driver-s side
     
    2 lower reinforcement panel-to-instrument panel screws and the lower reinforcement panel
     
    6 steering column cover screws, the covers, the spiral cable and combination switch
     
    2 cluster lid -A- screws and the cluster lid -A-
     
    3 combination meter screws, disconnect the electrical harness connector and remove the combination meter
     
    Switch panel
     
    Instrument panel lower covers
     
    Snap out the transmission shifter finisher (boot)
     
    4 cluster lid -C- screws and the cluster lid -C-
     
    4 audio and deck pocket-to-instrument panel screws and the audio and deck pocket
     
    5 center console screws and the center console
     
    2 center instrument panel screws and the center panel
     
    front defroster grilles
     
    Front pillar garnish
     
    Instrument panel 3 nuts/4 screws and the instrument panel
     
    8 instrument stay assembly nuts and the stay
     
    Steering member assembly 5 nuts/1 bolt and the steering member
     

  20.  
  21. Remove the air conditioning housing assembly by removing or disconnecting the following:

    Refrigerant lines from the air conditioning housing assembly
     
    Thermo control amp
     
    Air conditioning housing assembly
     

  22.  
  23. Remove or disconnect the following:

    Heater unit
     
    Heater core from the heater unit

    Front pillar garnish
     
    Front defroster grilles
     
    Center instrument panel and the 2 center panel screws
     
    Center console and the 5 center console screws
     
    Audio and deck pocket and the 4 audio and deck pocket-to-instrument panel screws
     
    Cluster lid -C- and the 4 cluster lid -C- screws
     
    Snap in the transmission shifter finisher (boot)
     
    Instrument panel lower covers
     
    Switch panel
     
    Combination meter, connect the electrical harness connector and install the 3 combination meter screws
     
    Cluster lid -A- and the 2 cluster lid -A- screw
     
    Combination switch, the spiral cable, the covers and the 6 steering column cover screws
     
    Lower reinforcement panel and the 2 lower reinforcement panel-to-instrument panel screws
     
    Lower panel and the 2 lower panel-to-instrument panel screws, on the driver-s side
     
    Kick plate and dash side finisher, on the driver-s side

  7. Working in the engine compartment, connect the heater hoses to the heater core tubes.
  8.  
  9. Install the passenger-s side SRS by installing or connecting the following:

    Front passenger-s air bag module
     
    4 passenger-s air bag-to-instrument panel nuts
     
    2 new special bolts and torque using a tamper resistant Torx® wrench (T50) to 11-18 ft. lbs. (15-25 Nm)
     
    Front passenger-s air bag module connector
     
    Glove box door and the glove box
     

  10.  
  11. Install the driver-s side SRS and steering wheel by installing or connecting the following:

    Steering wheel to the steering column
     
    Steering wheel nut and torque the nut to 22-29 ft. lbs.
     
    Horn-s electrical connector
     
    Air bag module
     
    New special bolts to both sides of the steering wheel and torque the bolts using a tamper resistant Torx® wrench (T50) to 11-18 ft. lbs. (15-25 Nm).
     
    Both the left and right side lids to the steering wheel
     
    Lower lid to the steering wheel and connect the driver-s air bag module connector

  13. Refill the cooling system.
  14.  
  15. Connect the positive (+) battery cable; then, the negative (() battery cable.
  16.  
  17. Evacuate, charge and leak test the air conditioning system refrigerant.
  18.  
  19. Operate the engine to normal operating temperatures; then, check the climate control operation and check for leaks.
  20.  

Removal And Installation
  1. Position the steering wheel in the straight-ahead position.
  2.  
  3. Turn the ignition switch OFF.
  4.  
  5. Disconnect the negative (() battery cable; then, the positive (+) battery cable.
    NOTE
    Wait for a least 3 minutes after disconnecting the battery cables for the charge in the air bag circuit to dissipate before working on the air bag module(s).

  6.  
  7. Remove the driver-s side SRS and steering wheel by removing or disconnecting the following:

    Lower lid from the steering wheel and disconnect the driver-s air bag module connector
     
    Left and right side lids from the steering wheel
     
    Special bolts from both side of the steering wheel using a tamper resistant Torx wrench (T50)
     
    Air bag module and store it face up
     
    Horn-s electrical connector and remove the steering wheel nut
     
    Steering wheel from the steering column using a suitable puller
     

  8.  
  9. Remove the passenger-s side SRS by removing or disconnecting the following:

    Glove box door and the glove box
     
    Front passenger-s air bag module connector
     
    2 special bolts using a tamper resistant Torx wrench (T50)
     
    4 passenger-s air bag-to-instrument panel nuts
     
    Front passenger-s air bag module and store it face up.
     

  10.  
  11. Drain the cooling system into a clean container for reuse.
  12.  
  13. Discharge and recover the air conditioning system refrigerant.
  14.  
  15. Working in the engine compartment, disconnect the heater hoses from the heater core tubes.
  16.  
  17. Remove the instrument panel by removing or disconnecting the following:

    Kick plate and dash side finisher on the driver-s side
     
    2 lower panel-to-instrument panel screws and the lower panel on the driver-s side
     
    2 lower reinforcement panel-to-instrument panel screws and the lower reinforcement panel
     
    6 steering column cover screws, the covers, the spiral cable and combination switch
     
    2 cluster lid -A- screws and the cluster lid -A-
     
    3 combination meter screws, disconnect the electrical harness connector and remove the combination meter
     
    Switch panel
     
    Instrument panel lower covers
     
    Snap out the transmission shifter finisher (boot)
     
    4 cluster lid -C- screws and the cluster lid -C-
     
    4 audio and deck pocket-to-instrument panel screws and the audio and deck pocket
     
    5 center console screws and the center console
     
    2 center instrument panel screws and the center panel
     
    front defroster grilles
     
    Front pillar garnish
     
    Instrument panel 3 nuts/4 screws and the instrument panel
     
    8 instrument stay assembly nuts and the stay
     
    Steering member assembly 5 nuts/1 bolt and the steering member
     

  18.  
  19. Remove the air conditioning housing assembly by removing or disconnecting the following:

    Refrigerant lines from the air conditioning housing assembly
     
    Thermo control amp
     
    Air conditioning housing assembly
     

  20.  
  21. Remove or disconnect the following:

    Heater unit
     
    Heater core from the heater unit

    Heater core to the heater unit
     
    Heater unit

  3. Install the air conditioning housing assembly by installing or connecting the following:

    Air conditioning housing assembly
     
    Thermo control amp
     
    Refrigerant lines to the air conditioning housing assembly
     

  4.  
  5. Install the instrument panel by installing or connecting the following:

    Steering member assembly and the steering member 5 nuts/1 bolt
     
    Instrument stay assembly and the 8 stay nuts
     
    Instrument panel and the instrument panel 3 nuts/4 screws
     
    Front pillar garnish
     
    Front defroster grilles
     
    Center instrument panel and the 2 center panel screws
     
    Center console and the 5 center console screws
     
    Audio and deck pocket and the 4 audio and deck pocket-to-instrument panel screws
     
    Cluster lid -C- and the 4 cluster lid -C- screws
     
    Snap in the transmission shifter finisher (boot)
     
    Instrument panel lower covers
     
    Switch panel
     
    Combination meter, connect the electrical harness connector and install the 3 combination meter screws
     
    Cluster lid -A- and the 2 cluster lid -A- screw
     
    Combination switch, the spiral cable, the covers and the 6 steering column cover screws
     
    Lower reinforcement panel and the 2 lower reinforcement panel-to-instrument panel screws
     
    Lower panel and the 2 lower panel-to-instrument panel screws, on the driver-s side
     
    Kick plate and dash side finisher, on the driver-s side
     

  6.  
  7. Working in the engine compartment, connect the heater hoses to the heater core tubes.

  9. Install the passenger-s side SRS by installing or connecting the following:

    New special bolts to both sides of the steering wheel and torque the bolts using a tamper resistant Torx wrench (T50) to 11-18 ft. lbs. (15-25 Nm).
