Removal & Installation

The manufacturer does not provide removal and installation procedures for this component. Please note the following before removal and/or installation is attempted.

CAUTION
Be careful not to damage the sensor edge and the sensor rotor teeth.

NOTE
When removing the front wheel hub or rear wheel hub assembly, disconnect the ABS wheel sensor from the assembly and move it away.

NOTE
On 2003-2004 2WD vehicles be careful not to damage the sensor edge and the sensor rotor teeth. In case the final drive assembly needs to be removed, disconnect the ABS sensor from the assembly and move it to the side. Failure to do so may result in damage to the sensor wires, rendering the sensor inoperative. Also the final drive uses a collapsible spacer (C200) bearing preload must be adjusted whenever the companion flange is removed. Therefore final drive overhaul is required.
