Oil Pressure Sensor

Removal & Installation



  1. Before servicing the vehicle, refer to the Precautions Section.
  2.  
  3. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
  4.  
  5. Raise and support the vehicle safely.
  6.  
  7. Remove the engine front undercover.
  8.  
  9. Disconnect the oil pressure sensor electrical connector.
  10.  
  11. Position a drain pan under the sensor to catch any spilled engine oil.
  12.  
  13. Remove the sensor from its mounting.
  14.  

To install:

  1. Installation is the reverse of the removal procedure.
  2.  
  3. Tighten the sensor to 11 ft. lbs.

Testing




NOTE
Clear Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) if applicable.

  1. Inspect Oil Pressure Sensor connector connection, check terminal for poor connections, loose wires, bent, broken or corroded pins, and then verify that the connector is always securely fastened.
