Antenna

On some vehicles, the antenna is impregnated in the rear window glass. On these vehicles, the antenna can be repaired using an antenna repair kit.

REPLACEMENT



Fixed Mast
  1. Remove the antenna mast by unscrewing it from the base.
  2.  
  3. Remove the antenna nut and base.
  4.  
  5. Disconnect the antenna cable at the antenna.
  6.  
  7. Remove the mounting bolt at the bottom of the antenna.
  8.  
  9. Remove the antenna through the trunk.
  10.  
  11. Installation is the reverse of removal.
  12.  
  13. Tighten the mounting bolt securely.
  14.  

Power Antenna

See Figure 1

MOTOR
  1. Remove the antenna nut and base.
  2.  
  3. Disconnect the antenna cable at the antenna.
  4.  
  5. Remove the mounting bolts at the bottom of the power unit.
  6.  
  7. Remove the power unit through the trunk.
  8.  
  9. Installation is the reverse of removal.
  10.  
  11. Tighten the mounting bolts securely.
  12.  

ROD
  1. Remove the antenna nut and base.
  2.  
  3. Remove the antenna rod while raising it by operating the antenna motor.
  4.

To install:
  1. Lower the antenna rod by operating the antenna motor.
  2.  
  3. Insert the gear section of the antenna rope into place with it facing toward the antenna motor.
  4.  
  5. As soon as rope is wound onto the antenna motor, stop the motor.
  6.  
  7. Insert the antenna rod lower end into the antenna motor pipe.
  8.  
  9. Retract the antenna rod completely by operating the antenna motor.
  10.  
  11. Install the antenna nut and base.
  12.
