  1. Disarm the Supplemental Restraint System (SRS) and remove the air bag from the steering wheel.
  2.  
  3. Remove the steering wheel.
  4.  

On some models, the steering wheel may not have to be removed to remove the instrument panel.

  1. Remove the center console fascia.
  2.  
  3. Remove the instrument panel lower panel on the driver's side.
  4.  
  5. Remove the dash panel lower reinforcement panel.
  6.  
  7. Remove the steering column covers, spiral cable and combination switch.
  8.  
  9. Unfasten the cluster fascia.
  10.  
  11. Unscrew the instrument cluster from the dash panel. Unplug the harness connectors from the rear of the cluster and remove it from the vehicle.
  12.  

To install:
  1. Plug in the harness connectors into the instrument cluster and place the cluster inside the dash panel.
  2.  
  3. Install the instrument cluster fascia.
  4.  
  5. Install the spiral cable, combination switch and steering column covers.
  6.  
  7. Install the dash panel lower reinforcement panel.
  8.  
  9. Install the instrument panel lower panel on the driver's side.
  10.  
  11. Install the kick plate and dash panel side finisher on the driver's side.
  12.  
  13. Install the center console fascia.
  14.  
  15. Install the steering wheel.
  16.  
  17. Install the air bag assembly, then arm the SRS.
  18.
