REMOVAL & INSTALLATION



  1. Remove the seat.
  2.  


CAUTION
Some models covered by this guide may be equipped with a Supplemental Restraint System (SRS), which uses an air bag. Whenever working near any of the SRS components, such as the impact sensors, the air bag module, steering column and instrument panel, and front seats, disable the SRS, as described in Chassis Electrical .

  1. Turn the seat upside down to access all seat adjusting motors.
  2.  
  3. Remove the seat trim panels.
  4.  
  5. Remove the seat motor mounting bolts.
  6.  
  7. Remove the seat motors.
  8.  
  9. Installation is the reverse of removal.
  10.  
  11. Tighten the seat mounting bolts to 15-20 ft. lbs. (21-26 Nm).

  1. Locate and remove the two mounting bolts under the bench portion of the rear seat.
  2.  
  3. Locate and remove the two mounting bolts at the bottom of the seat back.
  4.  
  5. If equipped with a pass-through opening/center armrest, remove the two screws from the frame.
  6.  
  7. Lift the seat back straight up to release it from the clips which attach it to the package shelf.
  8.  
  9. Carefully remove the seat from the vehicle.
  10.  
  11. Installation is the reverse of removal.
  12.  
  13. Tighten the seat mounting bolts to 32-41 ft. lbs. (43-55 Nm).
