REMOVAL & INSTALLATION

CAUTION
Some models covered by this guide may be equipped with a Supplemental Restraint System (SRS), which uses an air bag. Whenever working near any of the SRS components, such as the impact sensors, the air bag module, steering column and instrument panel, and front seats, disable the SRS, as described in Chassis Electrical .

  1. Locate and remove the four seat mounting bolts.
  2.  
  3. Disconnect any electrical harnesses attached to the seat.
  4.  
  5. Carefully lift the seat from the vehicle.
  6.  
  7. Installation is the reverse of removal.
  8.  
  9. Tighten the seat mounting bolts to 32-41 ft. lbs. (43-55 Nm).
  10.  

Rear

See Figures 3, 4, 5 and 6

  1. Remove the lower seat cushion by pulling straight up on the front portion and disengaging the clips. Then hinge the seat upward to release the rear clips.

  1. Remove upper rear seat back-to-chassis bolts.

  1. Remove rear seat back by tilting forward and pulling straight up.
  2.  

To install:
  1. Install the lower seat cushion and torque the lower rear seat-to-chassis bolts to 15-20 ft. lbs. (21-26 Nm).
  2.  
  3. Install the upper rear seat back cushion and torque the upper rear seat back-to-chassis bolts to 15-20 ft. lbs. (21-26 Nm)
