Removal & Installation



2-Wheel Drive
  1. Before servicing the vehicle, refer to the Precautions Section.
  2.  
  3. Raise and support the vehicle safely. Remove the tire and wheel assembly.
  4.  
  5. Remove the power steering gear assembly.
  6.  
  7. Remove the stabilizer connecting rod lower nut.
  8.  
  9. Separate the stabilizer bar and stabilizer connecting rod, using the proper tools.
  10.  
  11. Remove the stabilizer clamp mounting bolts. Remove the stabilizer bar from the vehicle.
  12.  

To install:

  1. Installation is the reverse of the removal procedure.
  2.  
  3. Stabilizer clamp tightening order, is as follows: Left side front, right side rear, right side front and left side rear.
    NOTE
    The stabilizer bar uses a pillow ball type connecting rod. Position the ball joint with the case on the pillow ball head parallel to the stabilizer bar.

  5. Check the wheel alignment and adjust, as necessary.

All Wheel Drive
  1. Before servicing the vehicle, refer to the Precautions Section.

  3. Raise and support the vehicle safely. Remove the tire and wheel assembly.

  5. Remove the power steering gear assembly.
  6.  
  7. Remove the stabilizer bar from the vehicle.
  8.  

To install:

  1. Installation is the reverse of the removal procedure.
  2.  
  3. Be sure to replace all non reusable components with new ones.
  4.  
  5. Stabilizer clamp tightening order, is as follows: Left side front, right side rear, right side front and left side rear.
    NOTE
    The stabilizer bar uses a pillow ball type connecting rod. Position the ball joint with the case on the pillow ball head parallel to the stabilizer bar.

  7. Check the wheel alignment and adjust, as necessary.
