This system is found in 1983 California trucks with 4wd and certain Canada trucks. It is employed to warm the air/fuel mixture after initial start-up. Operation occurs by means of a water temperature switch and a relay, that controls a heater/insulator plate positioned between the manifold and carburetor. It aids engine start-up ability and improves initial emissions discharge.
