Cruise Control Speed (Column) Switch

Print

The speed control switch is part of the combination switch assembly found on the steering column. The switch itself is integrated into headlight/turn signal switch lever found on the left-hand side of the column. The speed control switch allows the driver to set the desired cruise speed, in addition to allowing the vehicle to increase the cruising speed, and resume a cruising mode after a cancelation of cruising due to braking or if equipped, clutch engagement.

Because the speed control switch is an integrated part of the column lever, it cannot be replaced by itself.

REMOVAL & INSTALLATION

The cruise control speed switch is an integrated part of the headlight/turn signal switch portion of the combination switch assembly found on the steering column. Please refer to the Combination Switch procedure located in Suspension & Steering of this repair guide for service information.
