REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION



See Figures 1 and 2

Engine Coolant Temperature Sensor
  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
  2.  
  3. Drain the cooling system into a suitable container.
  4.  

The system does not have to be drained completely on all engines, but the level must be dropped below the point where the sensor enters the coolant passage.

  1. Detach the electrical connector from the sensor.
  2.  
  3. Remove the sensor from the engine or thermostat housing.
  4.  
  5. Installation is the reverse of the removal. Connect the negative battery cable and properly refill the cooling system.

Power Steering Oil Pressure Sensor
  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
  2.  
  3. Detach the electrical connector from the sensor.
  4.  
  5. Remove the sensor.
  6.  
  7. Installation is the reverse of the removal procedure. Check the power steering fluid level and add, as necessary.
  8.  

Oil Pressure Sender
  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
  2.  
  3. Disengage the connector from the pressure sender.
  4.  
  5. Remove the oil pressure sender from the engine.
  6.  
  7. Installation is the reverse of the removal procedure. Check the engine oil level and add, as necessary
  8.
