Idle Mixture Adjustment

These trucks use a rather complex electronic fuel injection system which is regulated by a series of temperature, altitude (for California) and air flow sensors which feed information into an Electronic Control Unit (ECU). The control unit then relays an electronic signal to the injector nozzle(s), which allow(s) a predetermined amount of fuel into the combustion chamber. In this way all mixture control adjustments are regulated by the ECU, therefore no manual adjustments are necessary or possible.
