CAUTION
Fuel injection systems remain under pressure after the engine has been turned OFF. Properly relieve fuel pressure before disconnecting any fuel lines. Also observe all safety practices outlined earlier in the Fuel System Safety Precautions. Failure to do so may result in fire or personal injury.

  1. Following proper procedures, relieve fuel system residual pressure.
  2.  
  3. Remove injector cover and pull out injector straight upward. Take care not to break or bend injector terminal.
  4.  
  5. Install a new lower injector O-ring in the throttle body.
  6.  
  7. Install the fuel injector and push it down using a suitable tool. Align the direction of the injector terminals. Take care not to break or bend injector terminal.
  8.  
  9. Install a new upper injector O-ring in the throttle body.
  10.  
  11. Install upper plate and injector cover with rubber plug removed.
  12.  
  13. Make sure that two O-rings (small one and big one) are installed in the injector cover.
  14.  
  15. Check for proper connection between injector terminal and injector cover terminal, then install rubber plug.
  16.  
  17. Start engine and check for fuel leaks.
  18.
