On models with a sensor relay, reset the relay by pushing or inserting a small screwdriver into the reset hole. Reset relay at 30,000 and 60,000 miles. At 90,000 miles, locate and disconnect warning light wire connector.
On models without sensor light relay and Canada models locate and disconnect the warning light harness connector. The reminder light will no longer function. Refer to the illustrations.
WARNING LIGHT CONNECTOR LOCATIONS
After 30,000 miles on Datsun/Nissan (1982-83) 200SX Model disconnect a green/green and white stripe wire under the right side of the instrument panel. On (1984) 200SX models disconnect white connector under the right side of the instrument panel.
On 1985-87 200SX vehicles disconnect the warning lamp harness connector behind the fuse box after 90,000 miles. The sensor relay is located is located to the right of the center console.
On 1984-86 Stanza models disconnect yellow-yellow/green, behind left kick panel. The sensor relay is located on the right side kick panel area.
On 1987 Stanza models disconnect green-brown (with tag), above fuse box. The sensor relay is located on the right side kick panel area.
On 1986-87 Stanza wagon disconnect red-yellow or red/blue, behind instrument panel. On the Stanza wagons the warning lamp relay is located under the passenger seat.
