REMOVAL & INSTALLATION




CAUTION
Brake shoes contain asbestos, which has been determined to be a cancer causing agent. Never clean the brake surfaces with compressed air! Avoid inhaling any dust from any brake surface! When cleaning brake surfaces, use a commercially available brake cleaning fluid.

  1. Raise and support the rear of the vehicle safely and remove the wheels.
  2.  
  3. Remove brake caliper assembly. Refer to the necessary procedure. Make sure not to twist the brake hose.
  4.  
  5. Remove the brake disc from the vehicle.
  6.  

4.Installation is the reverse of removal procedure.

INSPECTION



Check the brake rotor for roughness, cracks or chips. The rotor can be machined on a brake lathe most auto parts stores have complete machine shop service. The rotors should be machined or replaced during every rear disc brake pad replacement.
