Certain later models use an air induction valve filter. It is located in the side of the air cleaner housing and is easily replaced. Unscrew the mounting screws and remove the valve filter case. Pull the air induction valve out and remove the filter that lies underneath it. Install the new filter and then the valve. Pay particular attention to which way the valve is facing so that the exhaust gases will not flow backward through the system. Install the valve case. Replacement intervals are every 30,000 miles or 24 months.
