REMOVAL & INSTALLATION
See Figures 1 and 2
On some new models a wiper arm lock is used to keep the wiper arm off the glass surface when washing the glass or replacing the blade. On most models the wiper arms are a different length. They have an identifying mark and care must be taken to install them properly.
- Pull the wiper arm up.
- Push the lock pin, then remove the wiper blade.
- Insert the new wiper blade to the wiper arm until a click sounds.
- Make sure the wiper blade contacts the glass. Otherwise, the arm may be damaged.
- To remove the arm assembly lift the end of the wiper arm, which is spring loaded, at the base and remove the attaching nut (if a lock type application is used--push lock up). On early models just remove the attaching nut at the base of the wiper arm.
Before reinstalling wiper arm, clean up the pivot area with a suitable brush or equivalent. This will reduce possibility of the wiper arm coming loose.
