Front And Rear Wiper Blade and Arm

All Models

See Figures 1 and 2

On some new models a wiper arm lock is used to keep the wiper arm off the glass surface when washing the glass or replacing the blade. On most models the wiper arms are a different length. They have an identifying mark and care must be taken to install them properly.

  1. Pull the wiper arm up.
  3. Push the lock pin, then remove the wiper blade.

  1. Insert the new wiper blade to the wiper arm until a click sounds.
  3. Make sure the wiper blade contacts the glass. Otherwise, the arm may be damaged.
  5. To remove the arm assembly lift the end of the wiper arm, which is spring loaded, at the base and remove the attaching nut (if a lock type application is used--push lock up). On early models just remove the attaching nut at the base of the wiper arm.

Before reinstalling wiper arm, clean up the pivot area with a suitable brush or equivalent. This will reduce possibility of the wiper arm coming loose.
