Removal & Installation
Be careful not to splash brake fluid on painted areas; it may cause paint damage. If brake fluid is splashed on painted areas, wash it away with water immediately.
- Before servicing the vehicle, refer to the Precautions Section.
- Drain the brake fluid.
Disconnect or remove the following:
CAUTIONTo remove the brake tubes, use a flare nut crowfoot and torque wrench to prevent the flare nuts and brake tubes from being damaged.
Negative battery cable
- To install, reverse removal procedure.
- To install brake tubes, use a flare nut crowfoot and torque wrench and tighten to specification.
- After installation of the ABS actuator and electric unit (control unit), refill the brake system with new brake fluid. Never reuse drained brake fluid.
