REMOVAL & INSTALLATION



1970-78 Models

See Figures 1, 2 and 3

  1. Loosen the two screws attaching the front combination lamp cover and move the cover inside, then remove the screw attaching the center grille upper bar to the body.

  1. Remove the four screws holding the grille in place and remove the center grille.
  2.  
  3. Remove the three screws holding the lower grille in place and remove the lower grille.
  4.  
  5. Installation is the reverse of removal.

1979-83 Models

See Figures 4 and 5

  1. Remove the grille retaining screws and remove the grille.
  2.  
  3. Installation is the reverse of removal.

The radiator grille is made of plastic, so do not use excessive force when handling.

1984-86 Models
  1. Remove the grille retaining screws located on the far side of each tow hook as well as in the center of the grille.
  2.  
  3. Detach the grille from the vehicle, being careful of the fog light, if equipped.
  4.  
  5. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
  6.  

1987-88 Models

The grille assembly is molded into the bumper cover. Therefore the grille cannot be separated from the rest of the vehicle.
