Cold Start Injector

REMOVAL & INSTALLATION



Except VG Engines
  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable and the cold start injector electrical harness.
  2.  
  3. Using two jumper wires (with probes) connected to the battery, activate the cold start injector for 2-3 seconds to release the fuel pressure.
  4.  


WARNING
Be sure to keep the jumper wires separated to avoid a short circuit.

  1. Remove the cold start injector-to-intake manifold screws and pull out the injector.
  2.  
  3. Remove the fuel hose clamp and disengage the cold start injector from the fuel hose.
  4.  

When removing the cold start injector, place a container under the fuel hose to catch the excess fuel from the hose.

  1. To install, reverse the removal procedures.

  1. Remove the cold start injector-to-intake manifold screws and pull out the injector.
  2.

  1. Using two jumper wires (with probes) from the battery, activate the cold start injector; operation of the injector will be indicated by the fuel spray.
