REMOVAL & INSTALLATION



240, 260 and 280 Z Models
  1. Raise the wiper blade off the glass.
  2.  
  3. Unscrew the retaining nut on the shaft and pull the arm from the shaft.
  4.  
  5. Turn the ignition switch ON and cycle the motor a few times. Then turn OFF the wiper motor with the wiper switch, not the ignition switch.
  6.  
  7. Turn the ignition OFF and press the arm onto the shaft.
  8.  

280 ZX and 300 ZX Models

See Figures 1 and 2

  1. Pry the cover upwards to expose the retaining nut.
  2.  
  3. Unscrew the nut and pull the arm from the shaft.
  4.

Before installing the arm, be sure the motor is in the PARK position.

  1. Turn the ignition switch ON and cycle the motor a few times. Then turn OFF the wiper motor with the wiper switch, not the ignition switch.

  3. Turn the ignition OFF and press the arm onto the shaft.
  4.  

The blade should be parked approximately 0.3 in. (8mm) for 280 ZX models, or 0.5-0.9 in. (15-25mm) for 300 ZX models from the bottom windshield molding.
