The Crankshaft Position (CKP) sensor detects crankshaft speed and is used by the PCM to determine ignition timing and timing for fuel injection of each cylinder, as well as detecting engine misfire.

Removal & Installation



Specific to:

Honda Odyssey 2007-2008

  1. Move the auto-tensioner to remove tension from the drive belt, then remove the belt.
  2.  
  3. Remove the crankshaft pulley.
  4.  
  5. Remove the upper and lower front covers from the engine.
  6.  
  7. Remove the Crankshaft Position (CKP) sensor from the oil pump.
