The Evaporative Canister Purge (EVAP) valve is used to control fuel vapor emissions.

Removal & Installation

Specific to:

Honda Pilot 2006-2008


NOTE
Be sure that you have the anti-theft codes for the audio system and navigation system, if equipped. Record the audio presets.

  1. Before servicing the vehicle, refer to the Precautions Section.
  2.  
  3. Turn the ignition switch OFF.
  4.  
  5. Disconnect and isolate the negative battery cable. Wait 3 minutes for the system capacitor to discharge before performing any service.

  7. Remove the engine cover.
  8.  
  9. Disconnect the hoses and the connectors.
  10.  
  11. Remove the retaining bolts. Remove the valve from its mounting.
  12.  

To install:

  1. Installation is the reverse of the removal procedure.
