Removal & Installation
Tail Lights

NOTE
Be sure that you have the anti-theft codes for the audio system and navigation system, if equipped. Record the audio presets.

  1. Before servicing the vehicle, refer to the Precautions Section.
  2.  
  3. Turn the ignition switch OFF.
  4.  
  5. Disconnect and isolate the negative battery cable. Wait 3 minutes for the system capacitor to discharge before performing any service.
  6.  
  7. Disconnect the positive battery cable.
  8.  
  9. Open the tailgate.
  10.  
  11. Remove the two mounting bolts from the taillight and carefully pull off the taillight.
  12.  
  13. As required, remove the bulb.

To install:

  1. Installation is the reverse of the removal procedure.
    NOTE
    The power window reset procedure must be performed when disconnecting the battery, removing the No. 1 (20 amp) fuse in the passenger-s under dash fuse/relay box, disconnecting the 18P connector from the power window control unit, removing the window regulator, glass or glass run channel and disconnecting the driver-s door wire harness.

  2.  
  3. Turn the ignition switch OFF.
  4.  
  5. Turn the ignition switch ON (II).
  6.  
  7. Move the driver-s power window all the way down by holding the driver-s power window switch firmly down to the second detent. When the window reaches the bottom, hold the driver-s power window switch in the AUTO DOWN position for two seconds.
  8.  
  9. Move the driver-s power window all the way up without stopping by holding the driver-s power window switch firmly up to the second detent. When the window reaches the top, hold the driver-s power window switch in the AUTO UP position for two seconds.
    NOTE
    If the power window does not work in AUTO, repeat the procedure.

Headlights



Removal & Installation

NOTE
Be sure that you have the anti-theft codes for the audio system and navigation system, if equipped. Record the audio presets.

  1. Before servicing the vehicle, refer to the Precautions Section.
  2.  
  3. Turn the ignition switch OFF.
  4.  
  5. Disconnect and isolate the negative battery cable. Wait 3 minutes for the system capacitor to discharge before performing any service.
  6.  
  7. Disconnect the positive battery cable.
  8.  
  9. Remove the front bumper.

  11. Disconnect the connectors from the headlight assembly.
  12.  
  13. Remove the clips and mounting bolts. Remove the corner upper beam and headlight assembly.
  14.  

To install:

  1. Installation is the reverse of the removal procedure.
  2.  
  3. Be sure to replaced defective clips and hooks as required.
  4.  
  5. Park the vehicle in front of a wall or screen. Turn the low beams ON.
  6.  
  7. Determine if the headlights are aimed properly, to check the vertical adjustment measure the height of the headlights. Adjust the cut line to the lights height.

  9. If necessary, open the hood and adjust the headlights to local requirements by turning the vehicles adjuster.
    NOTE

  17. Move the driver-s power window all the way up without stopping by holding the driver-s power window switch firmly up to the second detent. When the window reaches the top, hold the driver-s power window switch in the AUTO UP position for two seconds.
    NOTE
    If the power window does not work in AUTO, repeat the procedure.
